Now according to here Superman is due to have a big moment in JL. I would love it if this is true. Just wondering how would you envisage this moment unfolding? Supes gracefully floating down from the sky, a beleaguered JL looks up at him full of hope. He stands "proud in front of mankind" with a smile and goes forth.. a reinvigorated JL springs into action behind him. Maybe not so on the nose :p.

Well, with Lois not holding him back..He will squash and unleash hell on them flying bugs.

Already had big moments in first flight and world engine fight.

As for JL, I expect his return to bd very triumphant.

Yeah the big moment in my eyes was when he flew into the world engine. The score, the build-up, his determination.

I've seen people complain about Jenny in that scene, but that's what really brings the emotion for me, I thought the actor did great. It felt ****ing great knowing she and the others would be okay because Superman is a ****ing boss.

The parts with Perry trying to save Jenny complete the scene. Especially the defeated look Perry has toward the end.

Exactly. I remember watching the Collider Commentary for MoS and Schnepp said they should've cut that scene out...
and he calls himself a filmaker. Really can't stand that guy sometimes.

I like Schnepp but that's stupid. The scene is there to provide a perspective from ground level, something people complained there wasn't enough of.

You know it's a needle that has to be threaded. Superman fans want a triumphant moment where Supes returns to life and enters the fray and kicks major league (no pun intended) Apokaliptian posterior.

Thing is... This isn't his film. It's a team film. There are considerations other than just showcasing Superman at the expense of the rest of the heroes. Even though it actually makes more sense with Superman, an argument can be made that you don't want to do what has often been the case with Batman, which is make all the other heroes seem superfluous in his presence.

On the other hand... Him being off the board since BvS, bringing him back in a way that shows his importance as the power house of the team gives him focus as an X factor that puts the League over the top and guarantees victory in this origin story.

That's a great point. They really need to find the balance between Superman being a necessity in the team while still having the team as a whole be necessary.
My hope is that the League is holding their own against the parademons and such, but once Steppenwolf brings his A game they struggle and need that extra pair of super hands to bring a finishing blow.

This would be more than enough, especially during the film's epilogue

I agree. Superman fans like myself have been outspoken at every chance we can get to ask for the All-Star suicide scene. I've written that scene many times in my head and on here on how that could work. We now have to take into consideration if such a thing would ever happen now that the subject is touchy with the passing of Snyder's daughter and the circumstances of that moment surrounding it. To see Zack direct a scene like that would be beyond emotional for him and it could be seen as a healing process to see Superman save a suicidal teenager.

I am starting to think that the Mother Boxes are going to be a way to square that circle.

Let us say that once Superman returns to life he indeed whomps ass, saves the team's bacon in various ways and starts in on Steppenwolf and it's apparent that he can not only go toe to toe with the New God General, but he's gonna wear him down eventually. Then we see the reasons Steppenwolf wanted the Mother Boxes. Bringing the MB's together their combined powers enhance him and it becomes apparent even Superman is going to need some back up.

The team regroups and charges forth needing to bring all their powers and skills to save the planet with Superman taking point, Batman doing strategy and Diana handling tactics.

The thing people want with Superman is a clean victory. Every victory for Superman has come with a "... yeah but" so far. There havent been any pure wins. Thats what fans want, and I do think we will get that in JL.

Man... That had not even entered my mind. While I doubt there will be something like that in JL, I can now see it's chances of being adapted in a Superman solo have likely increased. Snyder is at least going to produce or have some hand in crafting that solo.

I'd love Superman's 'no man's land' to be something like this, where he finally unleashes his power.

Well if this is true...point on Steppenwolf...yeah, he doesn't seem like a great choice. But I'm glad it's not Darkseid, whom I think should be saved for later.

This bothers me about the same problem the first Avengers movie had with its main villain...Loki, who is not a good villain in my opinion, and for the Avengers no...don't get me wrong, I think Loki has proven make a worthy antagonist in Thor: The Dark World, but as a main villain for the Avengers...he wasn't intimidating. He was just a jealous brother and vengeful. Eisenberg's kid Lex is like an example of a much worse version of Loki.

Don't get me wrong, Loki isn't a terrible villain. I think he's okay, but the point in the first Avengers movie was to bring the iconic characters together...that being said, I wish Justice League could do that and use a better villain at the same time. Ultron made a better villain. Most of Spider-Man's villains were pretty decent. Loki was kind of below average. Even Zemo was better, at least to me.

You do realize... Loki was the first threat the Avengers faced in the comics? Marvel made changes of course but the core idea of how the team gets together was kept.

^^Thats like one of my college essays where I dont know ****. It starts off on point then just goes horribly off the the rails.

I like that idea. I just hope Batman has something to do instead of just watching like in BvS. I still feel like they should've had Batman traversing towards the spears' location while Supes n WW fought DD. Hell, maybe he's the one who saves Lois. Then Supes comes down, thanks Batman, they have a quick moment, Superman tells them what he is gonna do and tells Batman to get into position to launch the last kryptonite round, then the scene plays out as it does.

This would be perfect. Absolutely 1000% perfect. It doesn't have to be a complete adaptation, but a Superman demonstrating love and compassion to somebody that really needs it? Being warm, caring and protective?

Ya good, that's what I was thinking too.

Something like JL getting overwhelmed by Step and co, maybe Barry has a Matt Damon cry moment from Saving Private Ryan, then Sup comes back and saves their a**es, then let him have a moment of awesomeness to himself.

But don't let Sup clean up everything, have a round 2 where the enemy upgrades, or tries to detonate a suicide bomb in a crowded area or something, and the team works together using their particular set of skills to save the day (and civilians) after all it is a team movie.

An underrated scene in Man of Steel is when Kal emerges from the rebel after the Smallville battle with the soldiers drawing their guns at him as he silently and gently walks towards them with the underplay and hum of Zimmer's theme behind him. That was so Superman to me. I'd like a same style sequence in JL with Superman walking past the Justice League members, maybe nodding and smiling with his theme behind him as he gets to Batman, who would be the Colonial Hardy character of this certain scene. That would be a really good moment that parallels Man of Steel and his acceptance.
