Which is more worth it cause the reviews seem all over the place with this comparison. Some lean towards the fact that the Surface Book is a 2-in-1 and comes with a pen. Others lean towards the MacBook cause of the Force Touch trackpad and it's quadcore processor. But the Surface Book comes with a dedicated graphics card option...

I'm a little biased to Windows, but hell the Surface Book is pricey.

MacBook is just a glorified netbook. Get a MacBook Pro or don't bother.

To answer your question i.e MacBook v Surface Book. Surface easily.

Apple is set to unveil and launch their new MacBook Pro line this fall. Its rumored but considering there hasnt been a refresh in over a year, its due. Id wait for that if you haven't bought anything yet

Make sure it's not lower than 2GHz processor.

If I were to get one, it would be the one with the dedicated graphics which means dropping more than $2000.

So now I'm debating whether I should outright buy or finance a laptop through Amazon.

You get more bang for your buck with the Surface Book. You have to spend 2,500 just to get a Mac with a dedicated graphics card (1800 for the Surface Book). You also get a superior processor for less money with the Surface Book, and a slightly superior display.

I honestly am not crazy about the hybrid gimmick, but the Surface Book seems to do it pretty well. It's also nice to have a touch screen on the laptop. It's not something I use a lot personally, but it's a nice feature to have, considering the Macbook Pro is more expensive and completely lacks the feature.

I do love the Mac OS, and you can put Windows on there as well.

But both computers have the same drawbacks. You can't upgrade them, or replace the battery yourself. Apple definitely has superior customer support.

Anyway, whatever you decide, I would consider waiting. The Surface Book 2 is supposedly around the corner, and so is the new Macbook Pro. I'm not saying you should buy them, but you can expect the current models to get a decent discount soon.

Really, it depends on what you are going to be using the device for.

If you were to get a Macbook Pro, the new version will be coming out soon, so you should wait to buy.

Surface Book is pretty functional, IMO.

After a few months I'm still happy with my Surface Pro. Not had any real problems and it does all the stuff I want from it.

Thanks to the Surface Book 2 dropping. The prices for the OG Surface Book and Performance Base is now lower... So tempting. :DV:
