I just bought my surround sound system. It connects to my computer, my dvd player, my vcr, my mp3 player, my cd player, my plastaytion even! When I first opened the box I pulled out the subwoofer and pushed the cardboard thing in. I was sooooooooo scared. I opened it and popped it back out. The first time I put it in it was pretty sweet but then I put it into my pc and it was 10 times better then everything else I tried it with! It's the Logitech X-540. I got it from Costco for $90.00 (with tax it was like $106.00)

If you have a Surround sound system, what's it like? Company, price etc and how are you using it? If you don't have one go to Costco NOW!

Wow, quick question, why do you need surround sound for your computer?

I'm too poor for surround sound, so I just plugged my radio into my DVD player. Booya!

Movies.... Ok for example... A movie's in the theaters, you hook your pc up to your tv with S-Video and you have surround sound. Booya, you got theater quality sound without being robbed 10 bucks! Or Video games (IE Halo: CE, Call of Duty, Tom Clancy Games etc)

Man, it isn't $2,000 dollars... It's $90.00 CANADIAN! THAT'S $85.51!!!

My surround sound system cost me $4,000...then it was all stolen when I got home from work.No insurance.

My diagnoses for you Shuley is the Logitech X-540. It's affordable and incredible!

I got a really cheap one, only have it hooked to my dvd player though (don't need it anywhere else). I bought it about 4 years ago and it still works fine.

I had Polk Audio's LSi Series in my living room and a 15 inch Velodyne subwoofer. I don't think i'll be replacing my sound system any time soon,I will replace the 50 inch TV the took though and move the cheap 32 inch LCD Samsung as a temporary to the bedroom.

Bose has smaller speakers. :oldrazz:

SOOOOOOOOOO unnecessarily expensive. Not that they are of poor quality or anything, but Bose stuff can go for twice as much as comparable products that don't advertise the way they do.

I own Creative 7.1 Speakers, and an Audigy Soundcard. The speakers are attached to the walls each side of the room, and the woofer is in front of the screen. Then, I connect my projector to my PC, get some popcorn, and wallah! I have my own lil theatre.
