Oh, don't get me wrong, I like people. But like animals a bit better. Hell, if there were no people we'd have no shows or movies to watch. BUT...but...we are a **** up of a race. Although to be fair...we always didn't know we were polluting the Earth and ****. For some reason, I don't get all worked up when people kill other people. **** happens. Only a few things people do to each other that gets to me.
If the most important human contribution you can think of is "shows or movies to watch" that's another indication of something seriously wrong. Humans may not be perfect, but it doesn't change the fact that we are more valuable and important than animals. Art, literature, philosophy, and science are all relatively small contributions to the full spectrum of the human condition and it's impact on the planet.
It because people can be cruel. Animals do their **** to survive or it's in their genes. There's not a good reason for people to kill other people and ****.
So because humans have the ability to be evil you devalue them?
Just the opposite I say. For every human who is good despite the ability to be evil a victory is won. Animals are drones with little choice but to "do what they do". Humans have a choice and the ability to do good even after the option is presented makes the human race valuable.
You think very poorly of human beings, I wonder if you think so little of yourself as well.
