OK, I am seeing this on the news, and I have watched it several times on different sites, but, this whole thing is bothering me, and not in the way you would think.

Is this stuff real, or fake? What NYC road has like no cars on it except the few we see, and no cops and no patrol cars? This looks more like a closed down road and what we are seeing is a chase scene for a movie, and while the chase is all caught on camera (by people who seemed to not be worried about having their video linked traced) I have yet to see the actual beat down this man supposedly gets.

What do you all think, legit video, or some strange hoax?

Looks like West Side Highway going up town, and it would be pretty empty Sunday morning.
Who the frak is going up there anywhere except maybe a dad his wife and kids going to the park on sunday.
Which apparently is what this family in the SUV were doing, when they were swarmed by this pack of bikers weaving around them.
Looks like hitting their breaks to taunt them...

The guy probably fearing for his and his families life panics...

And runs over or hits them...

Of course that they capture...

As to why they don't show the dad getting beat, probably cause the guy filming is with the bikers and it would incriminate them further, after they smash open his windows, and reach in, what do you think happened next.

Saw this earlier. Someone had linked it to a biker site. Of course, all of the bikers were saying how the guy in the SUV was totally in the wrong. But, if you watch it, you can see that the bikers start the whole thing. Honestly, if that many of them surrounded my car, I'd do the same thing. While calling the cops.

I wished he had hit all of them because they were being *****ey taking up every single lane.

What a group of ***holes.

Here's more of this group(mob) in Brooklyn/Queens, proudly filming themselves, thinking only they own the roads, breaking laws, reverse street, up on sidewalks, running reds, and harassing people and cars who just want to cross or go on their own green. Punches window breaks their mirror while the others trap them. - https://www.youtube.com//watch?v=0ujSkztMRrs

Then they go fill up and block some guys lot, so he and others can't do any business with them there.

If you are curious, here's : Brooklyn/Queens boarder -Google maps their rout taken on that clip .A -> B. Where they apparently hang out - https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=...XfvoKw;Fbg7bQIdgE-Y-w&gl=us&mra=prev&t=m&z=17

More of the story has come out. He had called 911 to report the group of bikers and decided to take off when he saw they were all over his car. They were threatening him and screaming racial slurs at him. He wont be charged but some of the bikers have been arrested and they're trying to find them all. Guy should have hit all of them. *****ebags think they're so tough because they can gang up and beat up one guy. Guy had a baby in the car for christs sakes. just pathetic

As it turns out unsurprisingly, this gang is responsible for what happened.

There was an accident, one of the bikers got a broken leg, the rest of them decided they had to retaliate and did.

CNN
A terrifying road rage incident involving a gang of bikers on Manhattan's west side has gone viral on the web after video of the incident surfaced online.

The New York City Police Department said a man driving a Range Rover with his wife and 2-year-old daughter inside Sunday struck a motorcyclist on Manhattan's West Side Highway, breaking his leg.

"It was an accident," says Lt. Karen Anderson.

The SUV driver pulled over, and the bikers surrounded his vehicle, hitting it and spiking the tires, police said. The driver pulled away, hitting three more bikers in the process, police said.

The gang, called "Hollywood Stuntz," according to police, chased the man, and he was forced to stop because of flat tires.

The SUV driver was cornered and beaten, according to police. He was later treated at a local hospital for slashes to his face and released. His wife and child were not injured.

One biker who was struck by the SUV, 28-year-old Christopher Cruz, was arrested and faces several charges, including reckless endangerment, reckless driving and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

Authorities have not identified the people in the SUV.

A helmet camera one of the bikers was wearing captured much of the road rage incident, including the moment when one of the bikers walks up to the SUV and smashes its window with a bike helmet. The video has been posted online.

Police say this same group of bikers descended on New York City and clogged up Times Square last year in what Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said is a "major stunt event."

Authorities say they were able to prevent the group from entering Times Square this year. Police arrested 15 bikers in total Sunday, seized 55 bikes and wrote 68 summons for various violations.

They are looking at video footage to try to determine if any other charges will be filed in the road rage incident.

"The investigation is ongoing," Kelly said.

if they are attempting to emulate Sons of Anarchy, they are doing it wrong.

"A police source said many of the bikers who cops have spoken to so far haven’t been any help in their probe.
“The motorcyclists are being uncooperative, those that have been interviewed. … They’re full of crap. They’re saying they didn’t see anything. They’re saying, ‘I was just standing there.’ It’s a joke."

They are interviewing them? When they should be confiscating their cameras/phone etc.

Filming the beatdown...

Then fleeing..

As they are riding you can see others with helmet cams, and even the Ipad guy is holding it up to film, so who cares what these guys "say" get their cameras.

Sadly the biker Jeremiah (Edwin) Mieses, from outside Boston who got run over will apparently be paralyzed for life, if he even survives.
I am sad for his mother and wife who say ...

“My son just got out of surgery. Now we have to contend with his situation that he will never walk again,” Meises’s dad, the Rev. Edwin Mieses, wrote on Facebook.
Jeremiah Mieses’s wife told WBZ-TV in Boston that her husband had gotten off his bike to help a pal who’d been knocked over.
“He went to help someone,” she said.

Help someone?
I think they are a bit delusional about what happened.

This ^ guy Christopher Cruz of Passaic, NJ(who is now in custody) who can be seen harassing then intentionally break-cheking the SUV and got bumped, did not get knocked over, he can be seen still riding after the break-check and forcing the SUV to a stop by blocking it's way.

Her son Jeremiah Meises wasn't "helping" him or anyone up, her son like Cruz was helping slow down and then blocking the way of the SUV, so that others could smash it's windows and slash it's tires.
You can see similar tactics in the other video posted. AT 1:12 https://www.youtube.com//watch?v=0ujSkztMRrs
As they surround a car and allow it no way out, and begin to reach in, punch out the window tear of the rear view mirror, If that guy had kids in his car, the only way form him to get out would have been to run over one of the blocking bikers.
That is why her son got run over.

They all should have been run over and taken care of. There wasn't just a child in that car but a baby. Tough luck for the one that go paralyzed.

So incompetent NYPD not only unable to identify or pursue these guys, but fox news manages to find and interview a couple of them.

http://www.myfoxdfw.com/story/23587460/two-bikers-in-road-rage-incident-speak-out

Where the bikers then not-surprisingly portray and see themselves as not just the "victims", but as trying to help the community.

23587460_BG1.jpg

Berger "Choppa" Matthew above ^ who tries to break into the terrified families car and steel the keys. Says what the R.R driver did was an act of road rage and was worried they would hit someone else.
Completely ignoring the fact that the family wasn't out hitting anyone, that it was him and his mob trying to "control" the freeway who were surrounding and blocking the terrified family to begin with.

23587460_BG2.jpg

This other guy ^ who smashed the windows, can also bee seen helping surround and blocking the SUV with his bike so the others could get at it, cant believe people see him as the aggressor.

"Two minutes prior to that, this guy almost took my life from me and I'm the aggressor because I smashed the window?"

Whats pathetic is not only does he see himself as a victim, he didn't even want payback for the biker who got run over, but just payback for his bike.

"Payback for him hitting me off my bike...he hit me off my bike."

The fact that he was using his bike to control and block a family from escaping the mob he was riding with , completely escapes him.

The sister of the guy who was run over and paralyzed also defended him as though it's perfectly natural and right for him to have been blocking the SUV after he tried to prevent it from leaving so the other gang members could properly beat the man and wreck his vehicle.

This group are innocent though. All they wanted was to "help" which is truly not a bad thing. :whatever:

Here is an honest confession. I want to go Judge Dredd on those responsible for damaging the vehicle and striking the man. I'd kill them. As for that man who is likely paralyzed? Just desserts. Those are the repercussions for cornering a man and his family. In fact, if I could get away with it, I'd walk into that hospital he's in right now and lace him up.

Killing them for damaging the vehicle and beating the guy up is excessive even by Dredd standards. And thank god they do psych evals on prospective cops.

Eh, it's a venting post. It's not like I'd actually kill them.

:o

You may not but there are people who would and sometimes you can't tell the just angry from the sadistic/overbearing kill-them-all type personalities.

It's amazing how some people live by barfight rules on an everyday basis. No wonder they thought everything they did was right.

.... I'd kill them. .....I'd walk into that hospital he's in right now and lace him up.

Umm, ok:csad: Yikes!
Get a bunch of you that think like that together and that's the same frenzied religious-stoning, mob-justice, witch-hunt, type mentality that these guys used to attack Lien.
They thought they could exact their "justice", control the situation and get away with it (and most of them did) because there were so many of them in the mob.

I don't wish any of them harm, and don't want to congregate with anyone who does.
My interest and repeated posting here is cause I do live around and daily use the exact same roads, and sidewalks these guys are driving on, that they are trying to "control" by force of mob.
That they see everyone else as in their way, and themselves as the perpetual victims is just frustrating.

I'm glad that the police are finding the morons responsible for assaulting and terrorizing that family and arresting them. They need to be off the streets for as long as possible. Even the one who was paralyzed need to be prosecuted if he recovers enough. Being injured as a result of one's own criminal stupidity shouldn't be a get-out-of-jail pass.

While I think that any motorist who is under assault like the man in the SUV has a right to defend themselves and their family, the weird vigilante justice fantasies that pop up after something like this are rather repulsive.
