I was in a car accident a few years back. My wife (then girlfriend) hit a poll and totled the car (front was a 'U' up to the windshield). I was leaning forward when she hit and the airbag deployed about maybe an inch or two from my face. I was blind for two weeks.

Sounds like the accident wasn't your fault you just got caught in a bad situation, someone's insurance should cover the cost of your car. A similar thing happened to me about a year and a half ago, I was on the highway (stopped in traffic because of two other accidents) a car plowed into another car, which hit another car, which finally hit me. The initial car was held responsible for all the damage to the three cars. It doesn't seem like you had time or room to avoid the accident, if you're found liable for the car you hit that sucks.

So this huge 18 wheller trys to get into our lane without even looking, so this car has to slam on its breaks in order to not frigign die. so the car behind them SMASHES into the back and the driver didnt have a seatbelt n n smashed into the windshield he sok though. so there I am right behind them , going 75 mph and i obvi slam on my breaks but still crash into them, and the guy behind me then hits me! thankfully all i have is a headache, but the guy in the windshield i sin the hospital!

yeah...those airbags are a b#tch, but they do save your head...i remember it seemed like time slowed down, right when i hit the car as the windshield cracked the thought shot to my mind like a bullet, "crap...airbag!", and BAM it hit me in the mouth giving me a fat lip and scratching my forhead and left cheek. not fun...

Yeah... I am glad for that airbag. I'd rather be "punched" by it than hit the steering wheel reah hard or worse, fly out of the windshield.

the reason noones buying me a new car iscause my stepdad makes otomuch money n just told the woman to "not worry about". so tomorrow im getting a 2006 jeep commander those are pretty fat but i miss my baby not to sound a cocky bastard, i bought the mercedes in 2002 for 14k. my stepdad hasnt bought any of his kids cars. its a 1998 n had a ****load of miles on it. like 75 thou in 3 years.
