Teaser Trailer Discussion

This isn't the best quality, but it's better than some.

Bone claws!

Woah. Nice shot.

Anyone remember the comic where cyrax breaks wolverine's bone claws? I think i have it somewhere. Its been years since i read it. I think it was after Magneto destroyed wolverine's adamantium skeleton.

ha yeah it was cyber. i just read that one a few days ago it was badass. wolverine is layed out and cyber steps on his arm with one leg, and then stomps and breaks the claws off with his other foot.

I still think the red and black would not look that great in real life. :( I am happy with what we got.

I think he was gonna have red eyes all along.

It's exactly the same shot as the first trailer we got. But in that trailer all the post production SFX were not completed by then. They obviously added in the smaller SFX touches later on.
Well, I could speculate a lot for why they chose not to give Gambit black eyes with red irises. I'm sure they screen tested it, but I'll trust them if they say that they didn't look good on-screen.

I guess it's not so bad. It's better than nothing!

I think the reason his eyes only turn red when he powers up is because they want him to be undercover, to show that people don't actually think he is a mutant at first.

It could be pretty cool. He's in the casino and he is garnering a lot of attention from the ladies. Then BANG he uses his powers and reveals himself to be a mutant.

If his eyes were permanently black and red it would be pretty obvious that he isn't a standard human being.

Well, no. Even with that, when he's using his powers his eyes still could be turn black, and his irises go red, but they don't. Only his irises change. I wasn't mentioning about the eyes staying black and red permanently.

Ahh I see. Well I dunno, they probably did do screen tests but didn't like the way it looked.

Yeah. I've noticed that some of the complaints people have had about things in the past, such as issues with character's eyes, hairs, costumes...etc from the comics. Most of the time, things end up in the comic the way they are because they didn't work well on-screen...by whatever number of factors.
