Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Graphic Novels question

I was looking around to see if there is a collection or graphic novel for the original comic run on the book. I was wondering if any one here knew if such thing's existed.

I believe there were, but they are long out of print.

You can check the official website, www.ninjaturtles.com for any back issues.

Unfortunately, Mirage is unable or unwilling to republish and package their comics before their 2002 relaunch or so.

Also bummed there aren't any omnibus editions or whatever. This is probably one of those horrible liscencing deals where they ended up selling all of their original issues to whoever currently owns the rights, and can only publish new material under a different title so as to not conflict with the movie/tvshows merchandising.

they offer a few issues on their site to read for free, and they give you sample pages of every other issue and a good detailed synopsis of each issue.

Since then I've gone and picked out a bunch of issues which interested me (especially those three exquisitely illustrated Michael Zulli issues), most are readily available for quite cheap through ebay, so its not hard to start a small collection if you're so inclined.

I'd be happy with just a damn torrent of them at this point, as they obviously cant/wont reprint them in trade, and single issues are damn near impossible to track down without using ebay.

Mirage can publish any ninja turtles book they want. The problem is that co-creator and now sole owner of the Turtles, Peter Laird, wants to re-tone and re-letter all the old books before republishing them.

He's only finished the first issue in the past 5 years though, so don't hold your breath.
