Teleportation of humans got a bit closer.

I always thought of fax machines or phone calls as some obscure form of teleportation (in their own way), and everyone knows they never come out perfect on the other end. We don't sound exactly like the phone voices, and faxes always came out slightly blurry in their day.

Surely teleporting something physical would lead to less-identical form on the receiving end?

Why dont they just try and transport an apple or something. Just for the hell of it.

the Fact they were able to teleport atoms is Awsome. I can't wait until they can teleport like whole Objects, like Apples or something, just has long has we don't end up with Apple Sauase on the Other end.

Technically, if a human is transported, even successfully, they wil die, since the transporter is disected your atoms and replicating them somewhere else. So whatever somes out on the other side is simply a replica of what was originaly transported. Similar to a fax machine but using atom dissambling and rearanging instead of scaning and replicating.

Looks like someone has read The Prestige. :o
