You can't blame Bush for the corruption and incompetence of the local and state level governments of Louisiana. Sure it's FEMA's job to help in disaster relief , but it's ultimately in the hands of the local and state government.

I have family from Louisiana and my dad's side of the family is Creole ( Black , French , Native America)so I know about the corruption there.

Which part? Lake Charles, or anywhere enar Kinder? Thats where my Grandparents lived, and the house my pa built back in 1940 was destroyed by Katrina. I also have a few cousins in new Orleans as well, but they left long before the destruction. You also have the police shootings to consider, some of them could have been my cousins. My dad grew up in Shadygrove.

Btw, I'm Irish, Chickasaw, and some Creole. I think my Grandmother's family has been there since before the Louisiana Alamo.

Lake Charles . I do want to visit though. Sure I've talked to them on the phone , but I haven't visited either. Going to Mardi Gras would be awesome too.

My mom's side is Japanese. Supposedly my dad's mom is half Chinese. When my grandma on my dad's side was still alive we used to go to her house in Compton. She had a black and white photo of a Chinese lady and my mom asked her who that was and she said that's my mom.

MLK Day Parade Bomber Suspect Arrested

SPOKANE, Wash. — A man tied to a white supremacist organization has waived a bail hearing on charges that he left a sophisticated bomb along a Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade route in Spokane.
The 36-year-old Kevin William Harpham was arrested Wednesday and appeared in court before U.S. Magistrate Cynthia Imbrogno.
He has been charged with one count of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and one count of possessing an unregistered explosive device. The bomb was discovered before the Jan. 17 parade and defused without incident.
Harpham will remain in the Spokane County Jail. He can request a bail hearing at a later date, or wait until a grand jury decides on March 22 if he will be indicted.
