Thanksgiving Movies

1942's 'Holiday Inn' has a Thanksgiving scene towards the end of the movie, it's not focused on it though...

Holiday Inn is often marketed as a Christmas movie, but I don't think that's accurate. It covers every holiday over a calendar year. I think people just view it as such because by far the most famous song in the film is the Christmas one.

Which is ironic considering that, from what I've heard, they thought the big song was going to be "Be Careful, It's My Heart" from the Valentine's Day segment. In addition, the Fourth of July segment was expanded as the attack on Pearl Harbor took place during filming and they wanted to increase the patriotic factor. They thought White Christmas was good but didn't expect it to be a huge success.

And of course, the less said about the regrettable blackface "Father Abraham" number for Lincoln's Birthday, the better...

Eh, I just view it as a racist movie.

Do it.

Funny you've seen Dutch before this though.

LOL, yeah I don't know how that happened. Dutch is great though. And it was back when Ethan Embry was still Ethan Randall. Wow, just looked it up and I didn't realize it got such bad reviews back then.
