:awesome::oldrazz::awesome:Oh my god this is the greatest site I've ever seen in my life!

So, any other fans here?

BTW Kane, I watched some of your reviews. Good stuff. Especially your Pinocchio review. I'm curious, are you familiar with the 70's Italian animated version. I reviewed it for my show.

I gots to know Kane, how in the blue hell did Larry Clark and that other guy get careers in cinema? For that matter, how is you can watch that stuff without tossing in the towel?

Is there going to be a new Nostalgia Critic today?
I can't find a future episodes list anywhere!
Is he retiring?

They announced that they wouldn't be doing episode lists anymore. To make them more of a surprise.

And in his latest sketches vid he mentioned how busy he was doing getting ready for a con and other stuff

I think Rob mention that for the next couple of weeks, they would be doing at least surprise reviews. Or at least to how long it holds up until they give you the review listing.

So glad to know Nostalgia Critic hates Moulin Rouge as much as I do. What a completely forgettable story filled with completely uninteresting characters, if they can be called that.

Yeah, I decided I was turned off when the 19th century Frenchman started singing The Sound of Music. I hated it when they started singing Nirvana.

I began watching his thing on Spider-Man. 8 minutes into it I wanted to punch him in his uterus. Not because I took exception to his comedy on Spider-Man but because he wasn't funny.

Is that the first video you've watched? Yeah it wasn't a real funny episode this week.

Come on, that was a pretty funny Mario Bros. joke. :p

I liked it, but, top be fair, his Top 11's aren't always all that funny. Much like the Old vs New. Maybe a stinger between each item. Sometimes a joke during them. But, unless what he's looking at is a comedy, it's pretty much just explanation with lighthearted lines of sarcasm.

i loved the spiderman video and thats coming from a fan of the raimi films

Critic doesn't always put out his best jokes when he likes the thing he's making fun of, and he likes all 3 Spider-Man movies.

Not just that. I felt the story just wasn't that good. The antagonist is just plain stupid. The side character get no development despite their roles in crucial scenes like the jealous woman who points out Ewan and Nicholes romance, what was her deal? Sabotaging the production ruins her as well. The big black guy who saves Nichole at one point. You might as well call him Colossus for all the lines he gets despite having a crucial scene. Not to mention, most importantly, the romance wasn't there for me. Though to be fair this is a common thing in a lot musicals. Where the romance seems to develops in midst a song instead of us seeing it unfold more naturally. It's a pet peeve of mine to be honest.

I disagreed with him on a few points about the Spider-Man films. I agreed about some of the goofy extras, the flags, etc. But, I totally disagree about Dafoe's GG and Venom only being in it for 10 mins. I think Venom thematically worked for the film. If anything, Sandman's forgiveness was goofier. Venom in the film was a physical manifestation of Peter's darkness and represented the opposite of Peter's inner struggle. Without facing the opposite number of his inner turmoil, the film is not as strong. Plus, Venom only appears in the climax because Peter had to go through his inner turmoil before he could face a darker version of it. It is classically more climactic and enhances the theme of SM3. I don't think more Venom would have been all that better.

That would've been fine if the Venom at the end of the movie was just the black ooze by itself taking Peter's form, because then it'd be Peter facing his own darkness. Instead, the black suit had surrounded a side character named Eddie, so it felt more like Peter was facing an additional outside force rather than his own inner turmoil. Eddie Brock is his own character, not just an extension of Peter. He deserved a certain amount of focus in the film that I felt like he didn't get.

Venom was a man with a petty grudge joined together with a malignant macguffin in the last few minutes of the film, not Peter's own darkness come back to haunt him.

Spider-Man 3 shouldn't of had Venom. It should have been all about dark Spidey and his growing anger and violence, while also developing Brock's character.

Then the bell tower scene should have been right before the final fight in the movie, with the symbiote falling on Brock. But, while we see Brock struggle, we don't see Venom.

The last thing we do see in the movie is Spidey swinging away, and our first shot of Venom hissing into the camera as he swings into it (like the end of Spidey 1).

Spidey 4 could have built up the ruining of Spidey's life as Brock during the day, and Venom at night. With maybe the Lizard as badguy B, since they had developed Kurt.

This also could have been done is SM2, introducing the symbiote through Jameson's son like the Critic suggested. Then we'd have a nice inner conflict where Pete has to save the life of the man the woman he loves is going to marry. SM2 deals with dark Spidey, and we get the belltower scene just before the final fight with Doc Ock, Venom in the final shot, and Venom is the big bad in SM3.

This must be one of those geek things I don't understand the appeal of. Like The Guild, I don't see whats so great about this.

Besides,Spider-man 1 came out in 2002.
That's hardly nostalgic.

Geez guys, take the sticks out of your asses and have a little flexibility. It's his show, and his rules, he can do whatever they hell he wants.

The Top 11's and Old vs New's don't have to be nostalgic. He's also compared TDK to Burton's Batman.

The only time he uses his nostalgic cutoff date, is with his reviews. That's why when he wanted to review The Room, he had to travel to the future to do it :p
