The 20 worst paying college degrees

Yeah, I agree. And, while I think teachers should make more, it always bothered me when I had a young, single teacher complaining about making $40-$50k a year. My mom raised 4 kids by herself on half of that.

I want to see the graph representing the data for these numbers, because the average doesn't really tell me much - the field is too diverse to get a real idea of what it's saying.
 
7. Paralegal Studies/Law $35,100 $51,300

Given that fulltime retail work has never earned me more than $18,000 in a single year, I'd say $35,000-$51,000 is a major step up for me. $35,000 can cover rent, groceries, cable TV, and internet. And since the Paralegal profession is dominated by people who only have Associates degrees, it's a more sound investment than anybody who went to school for 4+ years to make the same amount.
 
In alot of states many starting salaries of teachers are in the mid 20s.
