The after credits scene...(merged)

The scene was great! She took at least 5-6 seconds of just standing there in shock and trembling and barely uttered Charles as if all ability to speak had been rushed from her throat. Awesome!

Oh and Cyclops is dead. The reason they didn't show his death was to make Xavier's death that much more resonant on the visual, emotional front. It's fitting that Jean and Scott are both gone.

Notice how like 75% are saying the Xavier scene...right now I don't beleive there were other endings.

The credits end, all goes blank, then a light appears, and it gets brighter and you see Moira standing there looking down. The camera switches to a wide shot of Moira standing over the Patient with no mind. All of a sudden his head turns slightly and say "Hello, Moira." In Xaviers voice. She looks Shocked as does every single person in the theater :P and it goes black again.

See i walked out the theatre cause i was about to poo on myself...lol. When you said patient with no mind. is the one X was talking about with the students in the begining?

I will post my thoughts on the movie in the proper thread (hint: I didnt like it) but I have just heard that theres an extra scene at the end after the credits...

Im willing to see this movie again tonight if there is...

But I want the spoilers...so if theres an extra scene go ahead and tell me alll about it...

The brain dead guy Charles Xavier was talking about earlier in the film is taken over by Xaviers consciousness.

The last scene shows the body lying there on the bed, with the red head doctor in there, and you hear Patrick Stewarts voice saying something like "hello Dr something" and shes like "Charles?"

Its something like that ,cant remember the exact words.

So Professor X is alive, in a different body, which made me very happy because that scene with Jean Grey made me sad.

okay I've read about eighteen slightly different versions of the end scene (the ONE end scene that there is) so here's how it goes.

CREDITS ROLL AND FINISH... FADE TO BLACK.

FADE INTO:

HOSPITAL. DAY.

WIDE SHOT OF: THE MAN SHOWN IN AN EARLIER SCENE, BORN WITH FULLY FUNCTIONING BODY BUT NO CONSCIOUSNESS, LIES IN A HOSPITAL BED. DR. MOIRA MCTAGGART WALKS INTO THE ROOM TO CHECK HIS CHART. AS SHE APPROACHES HIS HEART MONITOR AND OTHER EQUIPMENT, SHOT SWITCHES TO:

MIDSHOT OF: PATIENT IN THE FOREGROUND, DR. MCTAGGART STANDIN OVER HIM CHECKING READINGS. THE PATIENT STIRS AND SHIFTS SLIGHTLY IN THE BED, AND SPEAKS.

PATIENT: Hello, Moira.

that's how the scene went. I didn't predict it would happen, and while I think the Magneto scene had a lot of dramatic impact, I preferred this little treat to the Chess moment since that made absolutely no sense whatsoever. The only explanation for that would've been if the cure only worked in the short-term...

That's the point. The cure is only temporary. It will take time, but all of them (Rogue, Mystique, and Mags) will be back. I think that would have been the scene that it should have ended at. I hate the whole "we killed him off, but we found a bs way to bring him back."

I was very upset when Jean killed Xavier and then kinda relieved when they "cured" Magneto...because to him it pretty much means he's dead as well without his mutant powers. And in the end I was surprised to see him using his powers again...so hearing this end scene that Xavier is alive only makes me have hope that there would possibly be another movie soon and if not..at least Charles is alive!

I actually would prefer for Xavier to stay dead and Magneto come on board to teach the X-Men due to a change of heart...(and little of his powers at the beginning of the next film).

I am sure there will be plenty of deleted scenes on the DVD, but other than that I doubt anything new will show up on screen.

Actually, they said they only cut one 30 second transition scene.

I have heard of a scene with Apocalypse...but im doubting it more and more.


In fact, I think the alternate endings fiasco is a purposeful attempt by Fox to get our money...they know they have a bad movie and they can save it by tricking us into more viewings.

So, seriously people...dont post that there is ABSOULTELY another ending unless you have personally viewed it.

Saw it last night and earlier today. I went to two different theaters, which were about 45 minutes away from each other. I got the Professor X ending at both theaters.

I'm going to watch it again tomorrow morning in a different theater, I'll let everyone know if I see anything different.

i thoght the movie was awsome. it sucked that mystique was hardly in the movie and colosus had only one line when he was carrying a tv. i was awsome seeing psylocke more then once. archlight quills callisto and psylocke were my favorits our of the movie and shadowcat out of the heroes. i just wish their roles were a little more expanded. sucked how almost everyone dies, jean cyclops xavier quills arclight and psylock all the pople i liked!
i baught the novel rite after i saw the movie. =)
