But it's your best bet on ingame footage. You'll maybe get a feature trailer 2-3 months before release (like we did with web rush) which shows off ingame gameplay without that many cuts. Other than that, I don't know when we'll get real uncut gameplay footage. My best bet would be on a gaming convention but E3 is a month after the movie comes out and the game is supposed to launch before the movie is released (late april I assume). Don't know what other convention they could show it to the public on.

Uncut, real time gameplay is what I want to see and will show off the game to make me believe that they've 'turned things around' for the better. Footage in trailers, while 'looking cool' doesn't provide me with enough proof or instill greater faith in my decision about the game.

I already noted how E3 comes after the release of the game. How do you know the game releases before the movie? According to the press release from NYCC, they said the game launches alongside the movie...no mention of it coming out prior to the release of the film.

As for other conventions, there's one in late April. Maybe PAX east, I'm not sure. There's also the International CES in the first week of January.

I really hope Beenox releases something from the next gen game sooner than later. Just something :/ At least some art, or confirmation of a boss or something. It's not THAT long 'til the game is out, right? They can't be too far behind in the process now, can they?

I have to get the bad taste of that current gen trailer off.

If you wanna pick a silver lining--at least with ASM2 the game, all their efforts have been solely to produce this game. There wasn't an 'in-between' Spidey game taking away from this development cycle.

Weren't they involved in the making of another game not related to Spidey quite recently though? I think I read something about that, you know when we speculated if Beenox really would develope this game.

Oh yeah. It was Skylanders. Well, crap. Thanks Oz...hehehe, there goes that silver lining. :p

Even if they weren't working on any other game alongside Spider-man it would still take a lot for me to give TASM2: The Videogame the benefit of the doubt.

So they have a ps3 version and a ps4 version for TASM2 in the making? and judging from the teaser trailer, their effort is mostly on the ps4 version

if so, I just can't believe they would do such a dumb move... they would do much more bank if they just put their effort on the ps3 version and used the extra time to develop their ps4 development kit further. And then when ps4 has been around just a little longer and majority of gamers actually have it, then do a ps4 Spider-Man game

If the trailer is only of current gen I wouldn't go assuming that the next gen is automatically better. For all we know the next gen could be just as bad.

Same. I have very little faith, if anything at all, that this game will be noteworthy.

For all we know they could be making this game for the current gen models and then simply porting it for the next gen. A total waste imo.

I have a friend who wants to be a video game designer that got mentally scarred after I showed him the trailer and told him the graphics were for current-gen and next-gen :funny:. No joke.

Beenox has to be/should be tracking all the negative feedback about the graphics. Gah. Such a fail.

The trailer is for current gen only.

I told him that. My friend still had the same reaction.

However, it should be noted that he is nitpicky and not all there in the head. He tends to take video games very personally. That's why I wanted to see his reaction in the first place.

Even so, the graphics aren't something that Beenox can hear negative feedback about and just say, "Okay, let's make the graphics better." If what they've shown us is what we're getting, they're not going to scrap everything and remake the entire game. That'd be a huge reinvestment for them. My opinion would be that they're going to spend money to make the trailers look better and show less "in-game" footage. Market the crap out of the cut-scenes and spend some money to enhance those scenes alone. It's shady marketing, but that's the world we live in.

The teaser for the first Amazing movie game looked sharper, but it seems basically because this teaser was low quality video
Graphics doesn't look any different compared to the game from last year

It has always been like that. Look at the Spider-Man 3 movie game. They dumbed down the graphics on the PS2 version (looked way worse than the SM2 one and had everything dumbed down) so the PS3 one shines compared to it. They had bad framerate issues on the PS3 version though (happens when you port from 360 to PS3).

spider-man3 on the ps3 a was a completely differentt game than on the ps2.
I think the next gen version will be much better

You're absolutely right, but the bolded part is one of the many reasons that they should just put their effort on the current gen that people are gonna actually buy since majority wont/can't buy the next gen console immediately, instead of putting more effort on a bug filled game with poor use of mechanics and next gen potential

Yeah, I don't play too many games so I don't plan on getting a PS4- I hope they're putting some good effort into the current-gen console versions. The graphics looked fine to me for PS3 in the trailer, but I don't really care too much about that kind of stuff. Like SM2, that game isn't the most visually impressive game out there - even the 1st movie game probably looks better. But the game is a ton of fun and that's what matters more to me.

Absolutely with you on this one

Had it not been for the game being next gen I'd have below zero interest in this.
