How often do Beenox tweet? It's been 4 days since their last one. I'm thinking we get a tweet today or tomorrow. What that tweet will be about I dont know :)

Am I the only one who didn't hate TASM's web-slinging mechanics?
Why they did it the way they did it for that game is understandable, and I have no trouble for how it's done there
I don't want to see it repeated in a game that probably won't need that swing style

pretty sad that any gamer has to resort to twitter for news on an anticipated title.

beenox are really stingy when it comes to pre-release footage and info. dee brown was pretty cool at answering questions (on twitter...) for the last game, but he's no longer at beenox.

i honestly wouldnt get my hopes up, man. at least we know a trailer is "coming soon"

I didn't hate it but it was incredibly boring. And I think the boring part had a lot to do with how empty and lifeless the city felt because everything was planned to happen rather than having nice organic events popping up. The swinging was 'too automatic' if that makes any sense. There weren't very many animations and even the web rush grew to be very repetitive after a short period of time. There were some positives however such as the camera movement and the overall cinematic feel of the swinging but the mechanics were too stale for my tastes.

I keep saying this over and over but the free roam is the staple in any Spidey game that would feature an open world. It's the main reason I play a Spidey game--to feel like Spidey swinging around Manhattan, dropping in on crimes or just enjoying the feeling of cruising around the city, high above the streets. The mechanics of this part of the game should be wired tight and be exciting and fun. Take that away, and you've ruined what should be the best part of the game.

Didn't a user here say they were working on the game and the movie, and that a test of the game was made using Unity?

Or am I losing my mind like Harry-Goblin's costume designer.

Don't tell me what to call your comment. It was ignorant.
Using that word is annoying
Some people don't follow all details on a video game before its release, or deals, no harm in that

If you mean the comment made by a user here, he said he and his pals made a proper swinging system as they feel, the weight and physics are taken into consideration, and they made it using Unity
He offered publishing a demo of that

That user you speak of was/is CashForStash. He's said a lot of other things too. Not real sure about his credibility as some things he said about the movie turned out to be false. He's been missing in action ever since the trailer dropped.

Did he say anything other than the web swinging system he designed on Unity?

I'm sorry but that's a pretty ignorant comment. Beenox can't do whatever they want. They are restricted by both Sony, Marvel and Activision. If I worked at Beenox, I'd flip a table over such a comment!

How was his post ignorant?

I took offensive to that word you could have used something else and I felt that from what i've understood from the game and what they've said.

This game is coming out late april/early may right?

How long have they been working on this?

It's a movie based game from Activision, so not long. I guess we should be grateful that it has had a longer development time than Men in Black 3.

No confirmed release date yet however the game's release should coincide with the movie. Give or take a week in either direction.

I'd guess the development time for this is somewhere around the 2 year mark. Prob less.

I wonder if there will be a Venom and a Sinister 6 game, and who'll make them.

Doubt it, especially sinister six.

This is really wierd.
They show a trailer for the movie, they show an international trailer for the movie with a lot more footage, all of it awesome and received pretty well, they announce a Venom and sinister six movie, is this not a good time to hype up people to buy the game? What the fuuu...

Do you guys think beenox go through these boards?

HeYyyy beeenoxxxxx! Daaaaa traaiiiiillllerrrrr... ffs.

Hopefully the swinging with spidey is fun. If this game has better spiderman gameplay, shame on you beenox, shame on you.

You'll also have to keep in mind that the game is set to be released 2 months early compared to TASM1. We could very well get proper gameplay footage within the next 2 months (whereas TASM1 showed gameplay footage at E3 only).

@Pinkypants:
It pretty much has TASM1 swinging, webs sometimes attach to buildings when you're closeby but most of the time they go straight up into the air. The worst part is that the swinging system is similar but somehow better (since you can control your pace, you can completely stop and use the web as a web-yoyo just like in SM3).

You have control, but the swinging is too basic
And don't expect better Spidey gameplay, it's too simple
If you need help with the game (like getting over a couple of glitches) you can PM me

Vicarious Visions maybe

Neversoft might actually be rebuilding themselves, but I think they're going to be integrated in the Infinity Ward Call of Duty's production.

If not, that could be an alternative.
