Same. Tobey was able to voice his movie games so I'm not sure why they aren't allowing the same this time around.
I can maybe imagine why. Their voice. The actors voice from the movies are just sometimes not as catching as the video game voice actors.
I mean, I do like Tobey and Andrew's performance as Spidey and their personalities as him, but their voice itself sometimes drags it down. I think that people prefer the voices that reminds you of Dan Gilverzan, Cristopher Daniel Barnes, Josh Keaton and so on. And that I think is why Beenox does it this way.
Treyarch made an exception with the Sam Raimi Spider-Man games, but I prefer the TV and video game voice actors.
Imagine the DC animated movies with the different Batman voices. Most of them are really good, especially Kevin Conroy as Batman. Then you have the new Batman games. Kevin Conroy provides the voice in most of the games, except Arkham Origins, which had Roger Craig. Then imagine if any of the movie Batman actors were to voice as Batman in Arkham Asylum, City, or maybe even the new Arkham Knight.
Would you like to hear Christian Bale or Val Kilmer, or even George Clooney voice Batman in Arkham Knight? No! Because it just wouldn't be the same, I wouldn't be as catching as with Kevin Conroy or with Roger Craig.
I mean, Bale is also a great actor, but I just don't like his voice as Batman. It is scary, as Batman should be, but also just too creepy. Which makes it seriously wrong in some way.
