I agree. Plus the boss fights themselves felt rushed and totally uninspired. It was odd especially since the previous Beenox Spidey games had mostly very fun and creative boss fights. Hopefully this is one area they made improvements.

Isn't the Shattered Dimensions team working on TASM 2?

Should be an improvement then.

Yeah, I'm really happy to see the bars back. I'm think the grey one might be an experience bar. Unless they do what TASM 1 did and just tell you you've gained a skill point and that grey bar is something else. It better not be webbing. I don't want to run out of the stuff, just make him do the animation from the first game where he refills it on the go.

Initially I liked the idea of not running out of webbing but after playing ASM, I felt they missed a unique oppotunity. Having to reload your own webbing, make enough to bring on a mission, and obtain additional upgrades on that aspect would add a whole new dimension to depth at the gameplay level. IMO it would certainly make things a bit more challenging. Imagine you're bringing down some street thugs and right in the middle of combat your webbing runs out and Oops! you forgot to stop off at home and grab some more cartridges. That would be fun.

I think that's when realism breaks the fun of the game, I don't want to web swing and run out of webbing and then have to walk all the way back to my apartment to get more webbing. It would suck and get really annoying. It would be a bad decision in my opinion. It worked for games like Spider-man 2000 and Enter Electro because it wasn't free roam and it was level based.

In my opinion, it would be like having to fill up your car with gas every so often in GTA. Some monotonous things in real life are still monotonous in a game.

I want Kraven dlc, I would like to play as Kraven and have his lion costume.

Maybe not in free roam, so my example of taking down some thugs was a bad example but in level play or for combat scenarios in missions I still think the possibility of running out of webbing or having to reload your webbing is a good idea. It would add another challenge to the gameplay.

They already said that they don't like having limited web fluid before the first game came out. But I could totally see them adding in scripted events that prevent you from using your web shooters (just like in TASM1 in the Oscorp factory) in certain missions/part of the story. Imagine a flashback fight with the lizard ontop of Oscorp (yes, I wont give up! I want a flashback fight!!! Now that we have the proper Oscorp tower model) where the lizard breaks your web shooters near the end of the fight and you have to use a combination of wall crawling & limited web rush to finish the level.

And the PS1 Spidey game with limited web fluid still allowed you to webswing once you ran out of fluid. It only prevented you from shooting web.

I think it'll be Shocker.

Based on this image:

Remember, Beenox did say that we will see them become the super villains in this game. So maybe this is Herman Schultz as a thug.

I mean....the jacket and vest give it away really, it's the same pattern and colors.

I said the same thing when someone posted that picture here few months ago :yay:
And yeah, I think Herman is perfect for some side-mission.

lol, not sure a flashback fight with the Lizard would happen though since this story isn't canon, we could still see the Lizard showing up for a fight.

Even scripted things with running out of webbing or something similar would be cool but I'd rather have it integrated into the gameplay that it's up to the player to control. It's not a make or break thing for me, just a neat feature I think would be fun to use.

Honestly I don't care about anything you guys are saying unless it has something to do with a "TRAILER" lol.

Well the events of the first movie still happened in the game universe, it's just that the they split into their own game universe based on the movie universe after the first movie via TASM1. The lizard fight is canon for the game universe, the 2nd movie isn't (that's why they'll tell the events of the 2nd movie in their own way).

So yeah, it'd make perfectly sense to introduce some flashback mission later on down the line where you can play through memorable scenes from the first movie. But yes, I don't see it happening either. I can already guarantee you that they'll release some DLC challenge thingy or suits instead of actual story content (which does most likely have to do a lot with Activision + time constraints -> release a DLC in the first 2 months that doesn't cost us a lot or leave it be).

Everyday for as long as I can remember I wanted a trailer, and everyday for as long as I can remember, we haven't got one.

I mean, we've already got our trailer.

Still.

I read this in Andrew Garfield's voice, lol. This should be the voice over that starts at the beginning of the walkthrough trailer they're gonna release....soon.

Oh how I wish they could get Andrew to voice Spidey in the game.

Same. Tobey was able to voice his movie games so I'm not sure why they aren't allowing the same this time around.

I can maybe imagine why. Their voice. The actors voice from the movies are just sometimes not as catching as the video game voice actors.

I mean, I do like Tobey and Andrew's performance as Spidey and their personalities as him, but their voice itself sometimes drags it down. I think that people prefer the voices that reminds you of Dan Gilverzan, Cristopher Daniel Barnes, Josh Keaton and so on. And that I think is why Beenox does it this way.

Treyarch made an exception with the Sam Raimi Spider-Man games, but I prefer the TV and video game voice actors.

Imagine the DC animated movies with the different Batman voices. Most of them are really good, especially Kevin Conroy as Batman. Then you have the new Batman games. Kevin Conroy provides the voice in most of the games, except Arkham Origins, which had Roger Craig. Then imagine if any of the movie Batman actors were to voice as Batman in Arkham Asylum, City, or maybe even the new Arkham Knight.

Would you like to hear Christian Bale or Val Kilmer, or even George Clooney voice Batman in Arkham Knight? No! Because it just wouldn't be the same, I wouldn't be as catching as with Kevin Conroy or with Roger Craig.

I mean, Bale is also a great actor, but I just don't like his voice as Batman. It is scary, as Batman should be, but also just too creepy. Which makes it seriously wrong in some way.

The difference is the Arkham games aren't based on any movie and aren't using the movie versions of the characters. This game is based on Andrew Garfield's version of the character, and it should use his voice.

Nice! At least we got something, even if it's little.

So, Spider-Man heals faster with the Cosmic suit? Does that mean our health bar will regenerate over time or is that not a health bar that we saw?

It also seems that we will be able to activate our Spider-sense since wearing the Cosmic suit will increase it's range! Very cool, great to have that back, maybe we will be able to use it to dodge bullets again!

Ionic webbing is new right? So far we know there will be ice webbing. Cool!

I love that Beenox are trying new things! The different webbing reminds me of Enter Electro!

I just hope it's more than just SENSING the area and is a combination of Spiderman 2's system mixed with Web of Shadow's. I hate when they just make it radar and I wasn't a fan of the automated dodge in Shattered Dimensions. Spiderman 2's spider sense was the most fun spider sense imo.

Agreed! Spider-Man 2's Spider sense was the best so far. Although I do love it being incorporated with the Arkham style fighting, it makes sense that Spidey would see an attack from behind and counter it.
