I'm specifically talking about his voice. I hate it in Marvel Heroes as well. It makes me want to turn down my volume.

Drake Bell's Spidey sucks and I hate that Marvel is pimping it out in everything these days. They probably have Sam Riegiel again as Spidey for this game, though. He did pretty well in the 1st game.

Never mention Drake Bell all I can think of is that squeaky voice thats like nails on a chalk board and ticks me off every time I hear and how marvel replaced Josh Keaton in EMH

Dat trailer today, pretty excited.

Been playing infamous yesterday, it's a good game, but I'm just still more excited over this game for some reason. This infactuation with free roaming spider man games started when I played spider man 2, darn you spider man 2!

On another note, holy time zone batman!

When you see the time of the post when you write something, it's says 1:46 AM lol, I'm on 9:47 AM, fuk you time zones. What time zone are beenox on? :D

They probably release the trailer in 5-6 hours, like they did last time (walkthrough trailer).

New info from their facebook page:

we have to rectify a previous answer, you won't be able to choose from various time settings, it will be randomized when you exit Aunt May's house when the game is finished (ex.: day, night, dusk, etc.).

no you won't be able to web-swing as Peter Parker, we already confirmed this months ago.
(I assume no freeroam as Peter Parker then)

Web Retreat as been removed from the Web Rush system. It made the game too easy. There will be a health bar this time and a heal functionnality. Players will have to manage their health.

There aren't specific combos to speak of (ex.: XXX, YYY, XXYY), as in Shattered Dimensions, we are still using a free flow combat system like the previous game. However, if you time your attacks well, you will unlock critical strikes, and if you are good at dodging, you will unlock streaks. The combo meter is still shown on screen in the final version (all HUDs are usually removed by marketing in trailers).

No weather options
There are no weather options, only the time of the day varies during missions and after the game is completed.

You can... hold onto the webline? Sounds good!
you can press or hold the web-swing button to launch a webline. However, you need to hold the button to hold on to it. On PC, the game is cleary more fun to play with a gamepad than with a keyboard/mouse. However, players will be able to customize their inputs with a launcher.

You can only perform the slingshot move with two hands

Yes, you will be able to visit locations in free roam, some as Peter Parker, some as Spider-Man.

When asked about what interiors/locations you can visit:
We won't provide details since some of them could be considered spoilers, but there will be a Comic Stand this time.

When asked about whether we can leave the house as Peter:
there will be specific locations or moments where you can do that.

you can hold on to your web, but it will be really hard to hold still...and not that useful. The rappel move will offer much more precise control.

PC gameplay info:
on PC, the web-swing will use by default LMB/RMB + Web Move key (the default key was LShift, but it may have changed...unsure if it's a hold or toggle, be we experimented with both). Otherwise, LMB/RMB will be used to attack and dodge without the Web Move key. We also support the middle mouse button this time and found it was practical for web-shooting.

No, you can't play as Peter Parker at any time, it wouldn't make sense to replay a mission where you face off with a villain without your suit. There's no weather system either.

When asked whether you can just shoot a regular webline at any time (like connect stuff similar to JC2):
No you can shoot a regular webline manually. We did experiment with that early on, by allowing Spidey to make walkable tightropes anywhere an allow him to rappel from there, but we kept the rappel move instead, which was more meaningful.

When asked about PC requirements:
Good question, probably when the game will be available for sale on Steam, which should be sometime before launch for sure.

When asked about the villains hinted at in the photo missions, whether they return/show up:
Those were mostly easter eggs

When asked about how long they've been working on the game as of now and whether the AI is improved etc:
We don't reveal this type of information. We did improve our roster of enemies by adding new archetypes, such as armored enemies, speedy enemies, brutes, flying enemies.

Sounds good, a little disappointed about no weather system but at least we can hold on to a webline, and a comic stand eh? If that means we can read the comics in game then that's great, it was a tad annoying to have to go to the main menu to read them.

Anyone know any details of the trailer? What they're supposed to cover, any new villains, duration?

So they confirmed no manual weblines. I am not a fan of that. So it's all automated again and Once again web shoot is the primary web attack. That is just awesome...I love the fact that they answer questions but to me a manual webbing system is common sense. Spider-Man can do more than fire web bullets. And even though they have weblines apart of certain animations it is not the same as actually using weblines. I am still excited to see how this game turns out but I really want some new blood for Spiderman games. I love Beenox's energy but they dont seem to have the physics system to do a proper game.

I'm really happy we will be able to meet villains and learn about their backstory before we fight them. I think if done right, it could be really awesome.

What are the highlights of that article so I don't have to read it lol?

PS4/Xbox One version will have better draw distance with a smoother frame rate and will be 1080p.

Most of it is the same stuff we already know really.

They also talked about the sidemissions and dialogue system more in detail. Sidemissions have more variety than the one found in TASM1 (like a burning house has random amounts of civilians with random positions and debris in them so it doesn't get boring doing them). They are still pretty rehashed though and repeat themselves polygon said.
Dialogues can be fully skipped but Beenox hopes you click through them because you get to know more about the villains etc. that way.

Beenox just tweeted that the new trailer is out in less than 30 minutes.

Sam Riegel to voice Spider-Man again. So glad he's back, really liked him in TASM1 although some lines were cheesy.
