I still think he'll betray Peter and try to hunt him.

Are you sure Kraven talking about Peter? Seems to me he's telling Peter to not underestimate his opponent who is probably Kingpin.

Surprised how lousy this game looks. One of the first comments on that IGN page sums it up perfectly: "WOW, this seems poised to be nominated for PS2 game of the year!"

And even then this doesn't look half as good as the SM1, SM2, or USM video games.

Massive exaggerations are perfection?
I get that it's visually not that pleasant, and looks somewhat like a downgrade compared to the previous game, but it sure looks too good to look like cardboard cutouts

It's not only him, many seem to do that
Somehow, everything suddenly looks up at the Arkham games, like what is done there is most noticeable there, or firstly done there

And Beenox do kinda try to recapture the Arkham feel, cause that's what the fans ask for

the free flow combat is a great thing for Batman but I don't believe that its made for Spidey because he is a pinball spidey 2 and3 and ultimate show that but i'd really like to see something very unique

There are times I get the feeling free flow can work for Spidey, but he needs more moves, more agility, moves like a living pinball, and is able to bounce off walls to attack
The wall bounce attack system from Ultimate Spider-Man really need to be replicated

If they took what worked in the older Spidey games and expanded upon them while introducing new and unique things and an amazing story we'd have a hit Spidey game

He says that what Peter went through as a child has made him stronger, don't underestimate him. I do believe he is talking about Peter.

So, here are my final thoughts on this game before it comes out:

I think it'll be a decent Spider-man game that will tide us over until we see a high caliber Spider-man game from another company. I waaaaaaaaaaant the Rocksteady treatment for Spider-man. Not Rocksteady making a Spider-man game (since they're with WB) but someone with enough talent and skill to make the best Spider-man game ever made.

This game will be fun, but if we want the best Spider-man game of all time it needs the following:

1. Best to not make it a movie licensed game so the developers can have as much time as they need to make the game.

2. Focus on the PS4/Xbox One/ PC and leave the last gen in the dust. 2014 should (in my opinion) be the last year for games coming out on last gen systems, so that devs can fully utilize the power of the PS4/Xbox One/ PC.

So, here are my final thoughts on this game before it comes out:

It's not the fault of Beenox. I'm fairly certain they could deliver AAA Spidey games if it werent for Activision enforcing certain stuff (release with movie, last gen releases, probably budget issues too).

And I don't see anyone else releasing a Spidey game any time soon. Marvel has been pretty ****** with their gaming licenses and all they seem to care about is mobile and social games. They still didn't rent out the licenses SEGA had and it doesn't look like they're about to do in-house development. Disney is known to rent out licenses and to not bother doing any "proper" games nowadays (look at Star Wars licensed to EA).

TASM2 is the best game you'll probably get until Beenox releases TASM3 and eventually TASM4. I don't see another Spidey game being released in the next few years, atleast not by Marvel/Disney since they don't bother with their gaming licenses nowadays it seems.

He might be talking about Kingpin as well. In his backstory, he had to learn to fight since young since he was the son of a crook and was bullied a lot.
