Apocalypse The American president

Should there be a prominent American president in this?

  • Yes but it should be a new character like in first class

  • Yes and it should be someone we know like Nixon in dofp

  • No

  • Some other major leader of the time should be in it

So far there's been a prominent American president in the last couple of x-men films. I wonder if they'll continue the trend and include Ronald Reagan? It might be interesting considering reagans legacy of not exactly being great with civil rights.

I'm thinking/hoping no. Not only because these presidents can throw people off (DOFP's Nixon and especially JFK stuff didn't work for me and it kind of took me out of the movie too much) - but because they can now have an altered 1983, and just have "someone" as the president, without even being outright introduced, while still sticking to whatever government elements they want to have in the movie. There probably will be a president character nevertheless, if Apocalypse will be a disaster movie like Singer/Kinberg have hinted.

If they got a U.S President character in the movie then of course it's gonna be Regan. It makes all the sense in the world that they would want to take that opportunity to further tie this movie into the 1980's.

Having a different President would be cool. To show the world is different in this 1983

X2 President McKenna was the best. X3 President Mighty Ducks guy was the worst.

And I agree the JFK concept in DOFP was half-baked.
