The Arrow's Tip: Official Thread

alright it posting on other sites makes it more reasonable..

Its just Im surprise that Green Arrow would finally get a movie going before the rest of the DC characters.

But Im for Matt Damon as Oliver Queen....

The film features Arrow as the protagonist but I dont think its necessarily a Green Arrow film in name.

I got the impression its kinda like Die-Hard meets Prison Break; a regular action film....that happens to use GA.

Yeah I read a little bit about it from the headlines on this board...

so no origin movie, just as him already being the GA....

Well I figure when hes in jail he'll have time to re-evaluate his life, identity...who he is; so they may touch on the origins.

But I'd prefer this over an origin story...

Personally I don't care if Its an origin or not, if its set in the 30's or in space, I just want to see some DC characters in the big screen...

And I hope they cast some good inmates as well

I just hope this film happens. It would suck for Goyer if they screwed him out of this after they screwed him on The Flash.

His Flash script was too dark and psychological (not what they wanted) so maybe Green Arrow is a better fit for him.

Too dark? really.... Yeah if a Flash movie is ever done, you gotta be light and have some comedy in it. Did he plan on using Bart, Barry, Wally or just one?

Goyer had Barry and Wally.

I'm betting the new director; Shaun Levy; will use Wally.

I think i'd rather see Jay and Wally, than Barry and Wally. =X I guess i just don't love Barry as a character :o

I'd rather just see Wally with John Kraskinski playing him = spot on.

Jim from the office?
I don't see it. but whatever.

It might just be because I've only seen him in the office. but I think of wally as an over the top arrogant kind of witty. Where i see Kraskinski as more of a make you look like an idiot without you noticing, kind of witty.

Justin's site announced that gig the same time they announced his return as GA. Haven't we already been told he won't be in the first nine episodes at least?

All I'm saying is that he probably won't be in as many as he was last season....

Wally's Flash was really only over the top arrogant in that early episode of STAS when they had no idea what they were doing with him. In JLU he had John K's more dry sense of humor and offbeat comedic timing with Rosenbaum. There were some slapstick elements to Wally too and John was great at that stuff in "License to Wed"

I read somewhere that said he was coming back for at least 2 episodes.....

I was hoping for more the lines of 4.

1 episode to deal with Clark and trying to convince him to join his team. 1 with Kara leaving to join Oliver and the team. 2 episodes with Oliver and the team with MM going against Lex and his army..... yes I am a big JL fan.

I'd like it if it was a two parter episode

Mr. Oliver Queen will be at Smallvilles panel at comic-con.... so hopefully he would shed some light on his role in season 7... :)

Also from K-Site:

Tonight at the Comic-Con International in San Diego, it was revealed that Justin Hartley will be returning to Smallville for multiple episodes at the middle of the current season.

Expect some of his Justice League pals to show up this time - some that we've seen before, and perhaps some that would be new to Smallville.

Also, Erica Durance has hinted at a press junket before the panel that Lois might not necessarily be happy to see him. Stay tuned to K-Site later tonight for more details on that.

*cough* Vixen please *cough* :D

I can live with Justin coming back. Hoping Black Canary is part of the team as well, would be a way nice way to tie the comic ends up for him in that regard at least.

I can't think of anyone else they could bring in besides her. Any other character (like GL) would require a bigger backstory than to randomly appear with Ollie when he returns.

Got me but with the quote you posted earlier today, I've officially lost faith in this series ever redeeming itself from teen drama land.
