The artwork of 0neDisturbedSOB

As promised here is a sneak peak at my upcoming personal website. The site is obviously not finished yet, as the content still needs to be added and a few minor tweaks still need to be made, but overall I think it's looking pretty good. Questions/comments are always welcome!

Neat. I've been trying to concoct a name for my site for some time now. Everything that doesn't sound silly or chilche is taken. Stupid internet.

Yeah picking a name is hard to do. I went thru about 10 different names before I decided on the "averagejoe" name. I wanted something memorable and kind of funny...I think it's both (at least I hope).

I would do a play off of your name, it always seems to be the easiest way to go.

Could you help me out OneDisturbedSOB? I'm trying to set up a website for my work, just wondered if you had any tips on how i'd go about it?

Designing it yourself is always helpful. I didn't actually build the site, I have my designs to a friend and he put his know how to work and built it. If you've got Illustrator, I would start designing how you want it to look. I don't know the first thing about BUILDING a website, but designing it is a different story. I would figure out a name, work on a look, pick some colors and most importantly figure out what the site's purpose is (resume, entertainment...etc).

Hope that helps.

Helps alot. Yeah I got illustrator. Don't want you to think i'm copying you, just you inspire me quite a bit. My sie is gonna be mainly personal work like sketches and finished stuff.

Thanks for the comments, and no I don't think you're copying me at all. Just start off with using Illustrator and come up with a layout for your site...make sure to pick some colors and STICK with them, also pick a font you like and stick with that. The worst thing you could do would be to have too many colors, and create a "font soup"...it looks unprofessional and messy.

I think I pay like $8 a year to register my name with www.godaddy.com

Just wanted to point everyone over to another site I'm contributing to www.komikazee.com Some friends of mine put this thing up, and it's sort of a mix between SHH and eBay in that it will boast an online community like the one we have here, but it was also feature a trading engine that I promise you will change the way comics/games/toys...etc are sold/traded over the internet. I'll be contributing artwork, reviews and news, and I'll also be one of the site moderators (imagine that!). I encourage all of you to check it out and post any feedback you might have. Also, the site is looking for people to contribute in any way possible...if you're a writer, artist, or someone who just likes to play games and can write a decent review then click on the "JOIN THE TEAM" banner on the right hand side of the site.

Let me know what you guys think, it's still in it's infancy but we're hoping you guys will enjoy it enough to sign up (it's free) and help us build an online community.

Cool man, thanks for joining. Feel free to post in the forums we have now. I'll be adding some new forums in the coming days like games, misc movies, TV shows...etc

Almost done with my Christmas card, I'll post it sometime this week.

Don't forget to check out the Komikazee forums and register!

Sweet. Tell your friends to do the same, we're trying to build an online community so that when the trading engine launches, there is a group of people to use it.

Just wanted to let everyone know that SOME content has been added to the site. It's probably going to take me at least a week or so to add everything, but I'm putting up as much as I can on a daily basis. The look is still undergoing some fine tuning, but feel free to post any critiques you might have.

Also, you can leave comments on all of my artwork and even on the front page if you'd like.

Be sure to register at the Komikazee forums when you get a chance! use the link in my signature. Tonight I'll be adding up some news and my review on "King Kong" if anyone's interested.

My latest for the holiday season...
