The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The ASM2 Merchandise Thread

I wish Hot Toys would make the villains from these movies.

Me too. They do all the MCU ones but Spidey gets no love, i think they have a deal with Disney as they don't do any X-Men either (outside of Wolverine)

Doc Ock & Venom wuould be big sellers, hell even Green Goblin would do well.

Statues from Sideshow :)

^ No way!

Yesssss. Even though I probably won't get one, they're so pretty to look at.

I was bummed they didn't do one from ASM, glad they got the license for the sequel

I already know Spidey is gonna look great so I'm not entirely hyped for that one, but if they end up doing the three villains, that's what I'm looking forward to. I can't decide which one I'm hyped for most.

I'm hoping Diamond Select makes some good figures since I'm starting a Marvel Select collection.

Are these types of collectibles ones that increase in value over time?

Pretty noobish question, I know. I'm not at all familiar with collectibles of this kind. I don't own any.

They usually do. Worse-case scenario, you'd have no problem making your money back if you do decide to sell it. I don't ever remember seeing a Sideshow Spidey statue decline.

Eh I'm not sure myself. Are you familiar with "Hot Toys"? They're like Sideshow Collectibles and may be a competitor. They're cheaper than Sideshow from what I know. That might be another option for the both of us hah

Hot Toys makes 1/6th(12") scale figures and are usually around $200-250 now while Sideshow Collectibles make statues that are roughly 1/4th scale and are usually priced around $300-400. Definitely not a cheap hobby when you "graduate" from Select/Legends figures.

And sideshow makes busts, props and 1/5 statues too. They also do figures which are cheaper than hot toys.

Hot toys just does movies, and some videogame ones whereas sideshow does movies, comics and game collectibles.

Thanks for the info. It might be a worthwhile investment.

Yeah. I've never really had the desire to purchase any of these types of collectibles however it's becoming more and more of an interest to me. I'm keeping my eye out to see what's available.

I want a statue of spidey hanging from the ceiling over my bed, but my girlfriend is against it. #nerdslife

Lol! Well you'd just have to share the space with a cardboard cutout of Channing Tatum.

Cant wait for the shirts and hoodies man I am so getting them
I so want an Oscorp or Ravencroft shirt. I think that'd be really cool.
