OK, since I am a Cinematographer, this is a field that is very close to my heart.

From the moves you have seen this year, what are the best cinematography images you have seem. The very best shots, where the camera angle, the colors and the lighting is just the best?

I will start with some stunning shots from Mad Max: Fury Road:

Sicario has half of them.

Revenant will have the other half.

I'm hoping that Star Wars will have many of them.

Macbeth (2015). Cinematographer - Adam Arkapaw.

Spectre had some beautiful Cinematography moments, especially in Mexico and Italy.

the opening shot in Spectre and the boxing match halfway through Creed are absolutely amazing long takes.

Black Mass had very good cinematography. It conveyed a strong sense of grime and rust. There was also a scene near the beginning where Whitey Bulger and an accomplice stuff a guy in the backseat, and there's a really cool shot from the victim's perspective that makes you feel like your actually in the back of the car. Hats off to Masanobu Taganaki (sp?) the DP.

Loved the Mars shots from The Martian and the mountain scenery in Everest as well.

I honestly don't think Spectre will get nominated.

It'll probably go overlooked but Ex-Machina deserves a shoutout.
