So anyone know when Sara will return in the present again?

The only reason why I'm afraid that they might kill Sarah off is that they might want to try mirror her death in the present with when she was thought to have died on the island for the flashbacks. So when we reach the flashback that showed why Oliver thought Sarah died on the island, they might kill her in that very same episode in the present.

Wow! Just read that the BC had a fling with Ras in the comics! Maybe they will implement that into the show.

It'd be kind of creepy considering that Sarah couldn't have been past 24 when she met Ra's so if they had a fling then..yikes.lol

Black Canary is the biggest reason to watch this show. They could get rid of Ollie and keep her for all I care.

Now this is the kind of freaking drama I want to see. All the moments between Ollie and Sara, and Sara and her father, gold. Laurel getting mixed signals from Ollie, get the hell out of here.

Hmm, seems a bit much IMO.

She has been a great addition to the show and the writers will be looking to reap the benefits of her popularity. IF they ever had the idea to kill her off, I'm sure they've changed their mind by now.

But still, this is Ollie's story.

Someone translated what Sara said her name was in Arabic, it's actually Black Canary not just Canary. Man, I hope that means she gets to keep that name.

The assassin guy referring to her as "the beloved" is interesting. I wonder what that means? Did Black Canary hook up with Ra's al Ghul like she did in the comics? Does he see her as a sort of surrogate daughter perhaps? Is "beloved" actually referring to Talia? Does Talia see Canary as a surrogate sister, and Ra's her back for his daughter's sake? Or is it something else entirely? There are so many possibilities.

"The beloved" thing is interesting.

Is she the beloved of Ra's or Talia or another of Ra's kids.

Even though he said she overestimates her importance. She still seemed pretty sure that he wouldn't kill her because of that. So I am looking forward to finding out more.

I guess I would be ok if she got freaky with Ra's, and because of that she thought he'd be more lenient with her.

I think she'll be gone for a while in the present day but they'll keep her alive in the past. Then when they bring back the League at the mid series break or leading up to the finale she'll come back.

Show has been on a hot pace lately.. it's probably due a few slow character building episodes. Deadshot/Diggle, Moira's trial, wth happened to Slade etc..

She'll be back.

Having seen Cavity Lotz in two episodes now, as both Sara and Black Canary, and Sara Pre-island, I have a better picture of her now.

She's better than Katie Cassidy and certainly more convincing in the Black Canary role and as a fighter. She also seems to be better as an actress.

But she's still not quite perfect. Two things that I keep noticing are her bee-stung chin and her mouth which sometimes seems to default to being more downturned than upturned and reminds me of the confused smiley:

Still think Felicity is the best female in the show by miles.

Felicity is definitely awesome but man Moira is stunning!

Felicity is cute and all,but I never really got the mad infatuation everybody has for her.

I think Sara is easily the best looking on the show. But it's a show of very good looking girls to begin with.

It's called a dimple.:oldrazz:

But instead of a crevasse, sometimes it looks more like a bump in certain light, as if her chin were swollen.

I want to know how long they kept her in her underwear and nightie before giving her proper clothes. I hope we get to see that and not just skip to the part where she's torturing Ollie.

It's her looks and her personality.

To be honest, though, I'm starting to get tired of her awkward babbling. It was cute at first, but now it's starting to grate.

I feel bad for saying this, but I think she looks a lot better with her Black Canary wig. :oldrazz: She's still very pretty without it.

There might be too much reading into the whole 'beloved' comment (okay, it's a TV show that loves it's drama, someone was probably sleeping with someone...)

It could be as simple as Sara finding her way into the League and becoming like an adopted daughter to Ra's, sister to Talia, etc. To take someone who is lost into to your home, to feed them, cloth them, nurture, train, and support them...

Then to have that person just leave because of other family? I could see Ra's taking that personally.

Either way she was obviously really close to Ra's or one of his children for her to be called the beloved. And she seemed confident at first that Al Owal wouldn't kill her. He told her she was overestimating her importance. However it appeared that they were trying to bring her back alive more than dead.

Maybe their (Laurel & Sara) mom slept around. The other guy just happened to be Ra's under a different name. Sara accepts it & takes the name Talia al Ghul. Laurel becomes Black Canary. Inserting "Black" to separate herself from Sara's "Canary" that the league gave her.

Well, it may be they were more trying to secure her in one solid piece, what with the Lazarus Pit and all...

I do have to admit, they did a great job of showing just how much Sara has changed and she does come across as the same type of Canary from the Birds of Prey comic. She can stand on her own, and if you told me this girl was a peer of Lady Shiva and possible student, I'd actually believe you.

Of course, if any of the Al Ghul's make an appearance, I'd expect them to be highly charismatic and probably all young. Even, and especially, Ra's. I'd love it if they revealed him as some old terrorist with an old man's picture, then boom! you see a young hoss with a cool accent and a maturity that's creepily beyond his years as Sara's paramour and one scary-ass martial artist and swordsman.

Again, Od love it if Ra's did need to resurrect Merlin to deal with Ollie, just because I do think the Arrows should have their marksmanship and range as a massive advantage over the other DC martial artists.
