This french series (6 episodes) just hit netflix. Pretty good reviews online.

Watching episode 1 now.... so far so good.

A horror/Thriller hybrid series.

I just finished it. It is a good mini series. But I am glad I studied French.

I read somewhere it was a French version of Harper's Island. I'd binge it today if I didn't have 3 exams to review for.

I might have missed this if it hadn't been for Ironman Rick's original post. I really enjoyed it, although the relationships between the large cast of characters was a bit difficult to get a grasp on at first.

But the setting and the mystery and the actors themselves were all really appealing to me . . . and 6 hours seemed the perfect length to explore everything and bring it to a satisfying conclusion without any 'filler'.

Well done! And I even heard a few words I remembered from High School French class! :yay:

I just rewatched the entire series again. It makes a lot of sense after rewatching it (it was difficult to understand what was going on my 1st watch as there were lots of flash back/forward).

Recommend this highly.

Glad to hear that you've viewed it again . . so maybe you can answer one of the first questions that came to my mind --- I'm pretty sure that right after that bridge collapsed near the beginning of the first episode, the camera panned down to show a dead man partially visible in the foliage near the stream.

Who was that??

He is Gaspard i think. He worked as a carpenter for alice's father. He is a friend of Etienne & Philippe. I guess he helped them in disposing the bodies of the parents.

Brilliant deduction! You're right - we never saw him in the present day, just in the flashbacks! Thanks for putting my mind at rest! :yay:

I guess we can maybe surmise that he came upon the preparations for the bridge disaster, and was dealt with harshly! :cwink:
