Ringling Bros, Barnum and Bailey Circus will cease for good, starting in May.

anyone has memories about the circus? ive only been to two

I think I was born about 200 hundred years too late to have any fond memories of the circus

Never saw it, but it's a classic piece of Americana.

Never a fan. I don't like the use of exotic animals for entertainment.

The circus is going to be in DC on January 20th. Ringling can't compete with that.

;)

I hope Jessica Lange salvages the carnies.

I thought it closed up awhile ago. I guess it was just a museum I remember going to for Ringling up in Wisconsin. A friend says at the moment, they're in Orlando

Good show. Except for the animal bits.
Good classic clowns.

I remember going to see the Ringly Bros circus as a kid. I hated it. Medieval Times was so much better.

YES boycott ringling bros forever please. They abuse animals beat them for entertainment free those animals in wild where they belong! Hate them and seaworld

********. Late night lounges mean the circus ain't going anywhere.

You can't just release animals back into the wild. Especially if they've only ever known captivity. Doing so is a sure way to get the animal killed.

That reminds me of a video I saw where a stallion killed his mare's pony. I guess it was a get by another stallion. These animals need to go to a zoo, a preserve or something like that.

They didn't close because of low ticket sales. Clancy Brown showed up in a priest outfit and started to kill people with a scythe.

You do know those in the wild have much shorter life spans?

I don't know what the conditions are like for circus animals but I did see the documentary Blackfish. Instead of keeping Orcas in captivity maybe they should replace them with something cooler. Like great white sharks, sperm whales, colossal squids, goblin sharks, frilled sharks.

I've never been to Seaworld but I would definitely want to go if I got to see somebody swim with a colossal squid.

Seaworld should also try to get a few of these.

I've been to a few when I was a kid, maybe 2-3 at most. Mostly it was carnivals though. Same thing but no animals and more games/rides.

Great White Sharks never survive captivity. The longest one has survived in captivity is less than a year. They stop eating, moving, or worse start hurting themselves by swimming into their tank walls and tearing up their faces.
