The Worst Comic Strips Ever?

KingOfDreams said:
Calvin & Hobbes is the greatest comic strip ever created. I used to love Garfield but I think I've grown out of it. But I still love Calvin & Hobbes.

I still like Garfield. Boondocks is funny too.

Bizarro (the only funny Far Side ripoff,) Get Fuzzy, Non Sequitur, Pearls Before Swine, and Zits are the best strips today.

The Far Side is the best of all time.

Garfield still has some charm left it in

^I am glad that Liz finally got together with Jon. Old boy deserved a break. Comics I hate are all the "suburban family ones". They all have the same plot...exasperated mom and dad along with whiny kids that showcase why they're not as cool as they should be. Though favorite comic strips of mine include -

Obviously.

Yeah, forgot about that for some reason. The Far Side is fantastic. Zits can be funny since a few years ago I could certainly relate to it...as could my parents. Get Fuzzy has great characters. I also have to mention Over The Hedge. That can be very funny. Non Sequiter is really smart and often I find it funny. Sometimes I find it a bit too highbrow, which is strange for me because I usually like highbrow humor.

Boondocks, Agnes, Non Sequitur,Mutts,Zits, & Get Fuzzy = :up::up::up:

Whoa, you look familiar.

I just have one of those faces.

Far Side owns all. Only comic strip I've ever read that has had me rolling from a single picture with no words.

“Ah, I love 'Drabble'. The dad’s like an unfunny version of me.” - Homer Simpson

My favs:

Foxtrot
Far Side
Calvin and Hobbes
Zits
In the Bleachers (kind of like Far Side, but with sports themes)

They actually used to post B.C. comics at church. Wonder why.

Bizarro is either hit or miss with me.

The only strips I make sure to consistently catch up with are Fox Trot and The Amazing Spider-Man. Everything else isn't all that good.

Here in my paper we've got a strip called "La Cucaracha". The joke is pretty much "Man, us Mexican immigrants are funny. Hoo hoo hoo! Viva Mexico!"

I've posted this quote from the movie "GO" before, but here it goes again:

-So what do you have against 'The Family Circus?'

-Okay you sit down to read the paper and you're enjoying your entire two page comic spread, right, and then there's the Family f****n' Circus, bottom right hand corner waiting to suck and that's the last thing you read so it spoils everything you read before.

-You could just not read it...

-I hate it, yet I'm uncontrolably drawn to it.

And Garfield is infinitly more amusing if you remove Garfield's thoughts and read it as just Jon being weird and talking to his cat.

You're right it would be funnier if it just had Jon as a lunatic talking to his cat, though technically Jon can't hear Garfield. So in reality he is just a lunatic guy talking to his cat.

This ones the best

My god, I have to go see this movie. That guy sounds exactly like me. And I had conversations with my friends EXACTLY like that :wow:

It's a tad bit creepy

That's pretty cool. I have old Garfield books from like 10-15 years ago. It almost makes me want to go back and take a look at it.

that garfield makes me want to gouge my eyes out.
