Yes, I know Ultimate Marvel sucks, it was terrible, A on my head stands for France jokes aside, really everything aside, I think the UMU may have something interesting to offer the MCU. A character.

This character:

This is the Colonel, he's an Afghani boy turned Supersoldier after witnessing the dark side of American soldiers in the Middle East. He becomes the leader of the Liberators and is for all intents and purposes the Anti-Cap.

But I think there's some real potential in the idea for a movie.

What about a boy, a young man really, who did witness bullies in his home country, foreign bullies. And then this man is given an opportunity to fight bullies and be made a super soldier. What if he targeted their homeland?

Essentially, make a movie where Steve is fighting a version of himself from 1943. Abdul is willing to cross lines more readily, but he still holds to his beliefs, his faith and a desire to drive off and drive back bullies(in this case, the US).

Maybe its too much of a movie for Marvel to make. Or its too late in the game to see this. But I think it could be a really powerful film if written right.

I thought this was gonna be a [blackout]Col. Zemo[/blackout] thread.

Yeah, these sort of ideas are always interesting, but I don't really trust Marvel studios with it.

Someone made a post about the same/a similar idea years ago that I thought of when writing this but I can't find it.
