Not much Hulk left to see?

If you're read the novel/script, you know that's not the case.

There's the Arctic scene.

The Hulk vs. Sonic Canons scene.

Hulk saving Betty from explosions in NY scene.

etc.

Lots of stuff that hasn't been shown yet.

Will having watched that snippet on a computer monitor diminish seeing that scene in context as a complete part of the film on a giant screen in a darkened theater with surround sound?

Yeah, it´s going to be much better in a theater, but it´s still how I´d have prefered to watch it for the first time.

There were a lot of clips shown of IM, but there was no shortage of surprises, and lots of wows. So everyone please stay frosty. :-)

The Arctic scene isn't in the film anymore :csad:.

Chibi,

""I don't have 25 cents!" *Hulks out* -David Banner"

where is this from?

What episode is it?

I don't know the episode, but in my 30+ years as a Hulk fan, that is my ALL TIME favorite Hulkout. :bh:

The Arctic scene isn't in the film anymore :csad:.

Yes the scene may not be in the theatrical release but it might be shown online as an "internet exclusive" thing as part of their marketing according to Kevin Feige, he said a scene but did not say which one.

So we have one more clip yet to see for sure and may have a couple after, who knows!

EDIT: The track listings for the score of the movie have "The Arctic" listed first then the second track is "Main Title" so I'm guessing we still will have the arctic scene.

Yeah....I guess I didn't think about the fact that the arctic scene could be right before the opening titles. I would imagine that if it's on the cd then it's probably in the film.

Yeah, there's no official word on if the arctic scene is in or out officially.

There's hints, sure, but nothing official.

If anything, that's the one that'll probably stay.

Two reasons:

1) As others pointed out, it's on the soundtrack
2) It was a big selling point for the film. To get Hulk on screen in the first few minutes.

And further, there's this recent interview:
http://www.latinoreview.com/news/hulk-smash-puny-interview-4717

Specifically this part:
Actually,
we save time by doing the Kyle Cooper stuff in the beginning, all the
sequences like the lab transformation, finding Banner - all of that
stuff was like little flashbacks spread out throughout the film. That
was one of the things that we took out of the film and so I'm going to
unravel this thing and put them in there in their full length scenes
on the DVD. I don't think it'll be like a long edition of the movie. I
don't like because I think the movie now is in its perfect shape.
Really, it's perfect shape as a movie. We've dropped some images but
we've not dropped entire scenes. Initially we maybe dropped one or two
scenes. These are scenes that'll be on the DVD, of course, but also
the long version of these scenes that we compacted. I just don't think
that I want to do a longer version of 'The Hulk', a two and a half
hour version of this movie because for these kinds of movies, these
chase movies I've done a few and I don't think it works. I think that
you sort of, the audience gets out of breath after a while. That went
an hour and fifty two minutes with the credit sequence
and it's the
longest chase movie that I've seen in a long time without losing it's
pace. It's just really fast. So you'll get a whole lot of Hulk and you
see a whole lot of scope. You start in the arctic and then you're in
Brazil and then you go throughout America and you finish in New York
City. It's huge.

Which implies that it made the theatrical cut, given the 1hr52min show time.

1hr 52min is fine with me. Around two hours is what I was hoping for a theatrical release and that's pretty close. Over two hours is pushing it for a general audience who will ultimately be driving the box office performance of this thing. And if we want a sequel we need it to be a hit. The hardcore fans like ourselves will get the Louis & Edward extended cut DVD anyway which is apparently only 12 minutes longer. Hardly a huge difference unless it's 12 minutes of extended Hulk vs. Abom fight scene footage. :)

Jeez, no one is FORCING ANY OF YOU to watch these clips! two months ago, people complained we had nothing. Now, it's too much. You guys need to understand that these clips are here to sell this film as more than what Ang did the first go around. And these clips (as we can see by the new posters and stirred up Guano and Trolls) did that job.

5 TIH clips x approx. 45sec each = 3min 45sec

1 TIH movie = 1hr 52min minus all 5 clips = 1hr 48min 15sec of movie left

The theatrical trailer is 2min 30sec long. Think of all these clips together as an extended trailer.

Still, how many of those minutes are going to feature the Hulk?
But I hadn't even realized we've only scene 4 minutes, guess the epicness of it all made it seem like more.

I´m cool with the clips, it was just the transformation one I hoped they saved for the theatrical release, but I can live with it.

I´m cool with one hour and fifty two minutes. It´s more than what FF ever got, and more than the first and third X-Men movies I believe, especially if they´re not telling a full-on origin story.

I´m cool with the clips, it was just the transformation one I hoped they saved for the theatrical release, but I can live with it.

The transformation you wanna see is the one in Sterns' lab. You see the transformation in light and not just scenes where his shirt is ripping but you actually see it all properly. Reporters who have seen the scene say it is one of the money shots and that the transformation from Norton to a CGI character is seamless so not once did they think watching that look it is obvisouly Norton for a minute then a CGI character the next, it all looked real!

Many considering we've seen 4 minutes of fighting footage, and at the end he as 15 minutes. :cwink:

Jeez, no one is FORCING ANY OF YOU to watch these clips!

I think everyone understands that, which is why some are saying they refuse to watch anymore.

Unless you stop clicking on the links to see them, or turn your head when you happen to see them on television, they're really not that hard to avoid. I like spoilers too, but you have the power to control how much information you see before it hits the big screen.

There was a time when I was on sensory overload with all the clips of Iron Man, but after a while I intentionally avoided them so I could enjoy the movie when it came out... And that movie had 3 times the amount of exposure than the Hulk.

I think Stephen Colbert showed just one second of the Arctic scene in his little bi you can see in a thread on these boards.

so for months there was no Hulk to be seen, now we've seen too much...?

UGH. :whatever:

I just hope he's not nude in this one.

I don't believe he is Obi-Ron. As far as seeing too much Hulk, I don't think this is the case. We've got what, two more weeks to go? We still have alot of movie there with many more Hulk scenes to see that have not been shown, especially the climactic battle at the end.

Chibi,

""I don't have 25 cents!" *Hulks out* -David Banner"

where is this from? What episode is it?

Season One, episode #9 "Never Give A Trucker An Even Break" which featured a TON of footage from Steven Spielberg's 1971 TV movie 'Duel' spliced into the show. This must've really peeved Spielberg, because from then on he had a specific clause put in all of his succeeding film contracts, stipulating that absolutely NO footage from any of his movies could ever be used in any way, shape or form without his express, written consent.

The episode also featured a terrific in-joke where, (after the phone booth Hulk-Out), David is putting on a new shirt and comments to himself "I really need to buy shirts that stretch." LOL!!!

As far as seeing too much Hulk, I don't think this is the case.

Me neither. If anything I want more clips! :bh:

My "ugh" was due to the fact that no matter what happens with this movie, someone's got a complaint.

Exactly. We have even heard the "He's too green" complaint. My personal favorite biatch was "They made the Hulk too small". Which after making him Kong size in Ang's Hulk, makes me want to throttle the punk that said it.

Want more, the official site has a new trailer.
