The Crazy Ones

I do kind of hope they give SMG some funny material, though, rather than just being Williams' straight man all the time.

Along with the Michael J Fox show this looks like the best new comedy on offer this season.

Interested to see Williams in a sitcom since he hasn't done one since the 80s.

looks hilarious! love Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar still looks good after all these years

I'm reminded of every Robin Williams joke in Family Guy ever, feels like I've seen it already

Been advised this show is great quality

"Is there some sort of sexy filter? Hmm?"

I don't know why, but that part had me rolling.

Not a bad show. Only a pilot so I'm sure the characters will be getting fleshed out a bit more. They really hint at something Robin's Simon dealing with some type of issue so it'll be interesting to see them possibly touch on that. Funniest characters were definitely Simon and the ditzy secretary.

Yeah, I liked it. I do hope they give SMG more to do than just be the straight man to her father, though.

Felt like it could've been an hour long. Just went by really quick.

That's one thing about single-camera sitcoms that gets me all the time. They look and sometimes feel like dramas but only have the runtime of a typical comedy.

I was hoping this would be a winner because I love everyone in the cast and want them to have a hit, but I'm also not a big David E. Kelley fan, so it was, as expected, quite a mixed bag for me. Not terrible, just a little too...try hard-y for my tastes.

I must say though, Kelly Clarkson's portrayal of herself as diva was cracking me up, considering she's known for basically being the anti-diva. Guess she's made some progress in the acting department since that movie American Idol made her do, lol.

Happy the ratings were great. Hope they stay that way. The pilot was ok, not as funny as say Modern Family but I will keep tuning in for SMG. Whose character I hope gets to do funny things instead of being the serious one since if SMG is in a comedy I want her to be comedic.

And can we rename this thread to The Crazy Ones?

^How approriate your avatar is. I wonder how The Michael J fox show did.

I didn't know CBS and NBC pitted his show and Robin Williams together last night at 9/8 central

That's brutal. I was flipping back and forth.

The Crazy Ones won out against Michael J. Fox.

Pitting them against eachother by making Fox's premiere an hour long was unwise of NBC. Should've just left it to air at 9:30 and let The Crazy Ones cream Sean Hayes crappy-looking new show.

It was ok, Robin Williams is very overbearing but some of the stuff was funny and he played well off Zachary as well as SMG, but as others have said hopefully her role will be more than just the straight foil, her singing to Kelly Clarkson suggests it wILL be. The secretary chick is hot!

Exclusive: Ed Asner Heads to The Crazy Ones
by Liz Raftery

Ed Asner is going Crazy.

The legendary actor will guest-star in an upcoming episode of CBS' The Crazy Ones, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

In the episode, titled "The Stan Wood Account," Asner, 83, will play Glen "Mr. Finger" Hastings, a commercial actor whom Sydney (Sarah Michelle Gellar) finds charming.

Asner most recently guest-starred on The Glades, Law & Order: SVU and Hawaii Five-0.

The Crazy Ones airs Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS. An airdate for Asner's episode has not yet been set.

Are you looking forward to seeing Asner on The Crazy Ones?

(Full disclosure: TVGuide.com is owned by CBS.)

It was funny. Not laugh out loud funny, but still funny. After seeing how boring the MJF Show was, it may have seemed better though

I liked The Crazy Ones well enough but ir came off like a Williams ego trip at times. I mean there was a character that did nothing but laugh at Robin's jokes.

I saw the pilot tonight and I liked it. Robin Williams is still funny to me, even though when he is acting funny its pretty much his stand up act from the 1980's.

That giant squigly of Robin on the wall was kinda weird.
