Even though Insurgent underperformed last March, Lionsgate and Summit begun production on Allegiant - Part 1 in Atlanta. All the cast members are returning.

Additions to the franchise include Jeff Daniels, Nadia Hilker, and Bill Skarsgård.

Robert Schwentke will not direct 'Ascendant' for Lionsgate/Summit. Apparently there's no bad blood between him and the studio, but the director wants a break after helming Insurgent and Allegiant back-to-back.

Lee Toland Krieger (Age of Adaline) will direct the final Divergent film, Ascendant. It will keep production on track for its June 9, 2017 release.

I have saw the movie Yesterday in my country, Italy.

It's a good action movie. Many differences form the last book, anyway. But it's good.

After Allegiant underperformed, Lionsgate is looking to slash the budget for Ascendant by "at least several million dollars" and that Woodley was dissatisfied with Robert Schwentke. Apparently, the studio presented her the list of contenders to direct the final film and she approved Lee Toland Krieger.

Since when did Shailene Woodley become such a big time actress that she could personally chose directors? Talented? Yes! but big time she is not.

According to the article, they presented her with the list of directors and discussed them with her. And Krieger was signed after Woodley gave him the seal of approval. (I don't think Jennifer Lawrence did that with Francis Lawrence though.)

It's not like an Iron Man 3 situation where RDJ picked Shane Black to direct and co-write the script. He had more control than Woodley did.
