Today has been shytty for me, and seems like it would have been more fitting that today was 06/06/06 . . . I took my car in and found out what I thought would be a cheap, painless fix is going to cost me around $250.00 Also, we ran out of coffee at work, and today in general has just been crap . . .
Anyway, I was playing poker with a couple of buddies yesterday, and we were saying how nothing weird happened despite the date. My nephew chimed in saying that he had a customer on the phone whose average daily balance (boring loan terminology) was $6,666.66 . . . .
Well, we chuckled it off and continued with the Texas Hold 'Em game . . . I folded my cards of 6 & 7. The flop came out: 10, 8, 6. Nobody bet, as there the six came, the last card of the flop, just after our conversation about the numbers . . .
The turn comes . . . another 6 . . . this would have given me three 6's had I not folded. Again, nobody bets . . .
The river comes . . . another 6 . . . making it the 3rd 6 in a row!! Nobody bets, and I entusiastically show the 6 that I folded which would have given me an unbeatable 4 of a kind with 6's . . . .
My cousin won with a high card, and the meager pot was all but 6 chips
Anyway, it was likely a very, very strange coincidence, but you have to contemplate as to whether or not some strange force was trying to tell us that the numbers mean something
