Xan is definitely the Snyder stand in. I do wonder how true there were rivalries were between productions.

There are definitely some direct references and nods. The line from two episodes about emergency reshoots reminded me of 2017's Justice League. The one line about shooting the all-female scene reminded me of the not-at-all shoved in A-Force moment in Endgame.

And do we even need to point out how the guy pulling the strings is obviously meant to be Kevin Feige? He's even wearing a baseball cap all of the time!

Granted, they took that bit from Feige, but Pat isn't the Feige stand in. The unseen Shane, who interacts via his lackey with the back pack. No, who Pat is, is clear based on his nickname. The Toy Man. There is one person in the history of CBMs that moniker most applies to. Avi Arad.

Is the "inside baseball" nature of the show not resonating with the mass audiences who go see superhero movies like Deadpool & Wolverine or the Marvel movies and don't care about the behind the scenes aspects?
