The Fugitive Plot Line

How long can they keep this aspect fresh? In a serialized format like tv or comics, it's implied that things don't change radically even in a year, but in film format it's different. New movie means new villains, but the character himself has to change as well.

i'd like to see more of bruce in seclusion, maybe the lonliness bringing back flashbacks or something, shed some light on his troubled childhood from the comics and his feelings of repression. funny, when i first saw the title of this thread i though of ed norton saying to ross "it wasn't me, it was the green man!"
