What's the obsession with My Little Pony lately?

The latest version of the show is a surprisingly well written and funny installment in a franchise that is notorious for sucking hard. It's not anything that special in of itself, it's just that the fact that there's a version of My Little Pony that's actually a good show has sent shockwaves through the internet.
