I have never seen this movie before, though I am big David Fincher's fan.

I am going to buy it this Sunday. As usually my questions are "Should I buy it?" or "Was the movie really good for you?".

So?

I loved this movie when I first saw it. It does a great job of making you feel as confused as the main character is, but not so confused where it turns you off of the movie. It has some great scenes in it. I higly recommend it.

It's great to watch but since it's so built around twists, and nothing else is too remarkable about it, I wouldn't say it's buy-worthy.
But it's great to watch.
Ending - Unrealistic, but I loved it.

I'm a fan of it alot, I do however think the more you watch it, the lesser it gets, so I give it an 8/10

i think though, the first time you view it its like a ****ing 21/10 or something, one of the best first time viewing experiences imo

What was so wrong with the ending? I know some people, who were disappointed during the last scenes.

Fantastic movie. Michael Douglass is awesome.

^^^

Could you explain me why you think so?
not without completely ruining the movie. Trust me, this is one of those movies that relies in it's twists and shocks, so don't go into it knowing anything if you can. That's what I did and it's that reason that I loved it.

Buy it definitly. It's an excellent movie, one of my favourites. Douglas has an amazing performance in it.

Alright, thanks :)

It's pretty good, though I didn't enjoy its full potential because I had freashly discovered The Usual Suspects like 2 weeks before... and I was still amazingly stunned by the end of it. Concerning The Game, it has a good story, well written and kinda complex, like Fincher is used to direct.

IMO it's Finchers worst. The first time I saw The Game, I was pretty engaged in it for a while and liked it, but I hated the twist. It was not only 100% predictable, but in the middle of the movie I was really hopping that wouldn't be the end. When it happened I just sighed. Then I tried to watch it again and found the whole thing a big joke. My least favorite Fincher film, even like it less than Alien 3 (The assembly cut at least).

I used to remember liking it more before I saw it a couple of months ago. Not Fincher's worst by a long shot, though, imo.

I love it. A solid film, not a great one, but well made with a clever concept. Worth a rental probably, or wait until it's on TV, which is fairly often. I wouldn't buy it unless you're a huge Fincher fan, or its like $4.

saw it on Netflix a couple days ago. I liked it a lot but i thought the ending was complete sh**

I hope it has commentary. Fincher is always a class act in commentaries.

this is one great mindf**k of a movie...

get it...

This, Se7en and Fight Club are probably my favorite Fincher films. Yeah, the ending is pretty hard to accept but rather than being a movie that IS about a mystery(i.e the solving of said mystery being the ultimate end of the film), this film is more about enjoying the time while IN the middle of the mystery. Michael Douglas's performance pretty much sells it in that respect for me. Even though I've seen this movie many, many times I can always pop it in and enjoy the feel of the main character going through the mystery. That's it's true redeeming aspect for me. Otherwise, it would probably suck or at least lose it's appeal after the first viewing since after which I know what the ending is(Usual Suspects is more like what I'm describing now....never as good as the first time).
