Will Comedy Central just give Will Sasso a show already? :argh:

I never watched much MadTV, but his segments were always my favorite... and his Arnold impression is still one of the best. Hell, that "Arnold driving" video is proof enough!

I always get scared when comedians get their own shows because 90% of the time the show sucks, only exceptions to me are Louie (which I really don't care for all the much, but it's exactly how I picture him) and Tosh.0 which Tosh himself doesn't even need to do anything but provide a funny interview or two. Others like Kroll Show, Jesselnik Offensive, Inside Amy Shumer, Jeff Dunam, Nick Swardson, Jon Benjamin has a van, and like almost every other one makes me sad.

Frank Caliendo suffered the same fate. Amazing impressionist, but when you make him the sole focus, it doesn't work as well. At least he was realistic about it through his self-deprecating humor, such as when he mentioned TBS was bombarding baseball fans with promos for his show.

Yes, so many of these comedians that get their own shows (rightfully deserved) always seem to end up not being as funny as they are in their original mediums of Stand-up or writing. I think that most comedians in TV are best in shows where they play a character like Aziz in Parks and Rec, or the guys in The League, and even in shows like Whitney to a point. I'd hate to have Will Sasso get a headlining show on TBS or Comedy Central and then it be sub-par ya know? haha
