I thought Seth was hilarious during the Oscars, didn't understand why he got so much negativity.. like what were they expecting?

The Oscars get more uptight as each year passes. For some reason I used to care enough to watch them but now I realize what a waste of time they are and how snobbish they can be. Most of the nominees and winners I disagree with...it's all a joke to me. It's all about lobbying and creating buzz. Considering Seth's brand of humor it isn't surprising if he wasn't well received. They love safe and boring hosts like Billy Crystal. I remember a year or two ago they fired Brett Ratner from producing the Oscars for talking about his personal and sex life on Howard Stern.

I didn't watch the Oscars so can't comment on the job he did hosting but as a Family Guy and American Dad fan along with millions others, we all would have to disagree with you. Which is why they even offered the hosting gig to him in the first place because they thought he would attract more viewers because he has such a huge fanbase.

I tend to agree to a point. I don't find him as a person very funny like in the roast he did, or even much of the oscars but the things he said made me laugh there like the "we've seen your boobs song". but the shows and movies hes made or had a hand in making are generally very funny but that could also be attributed to a team of writers and others on the staffs of those things. I think Seth himself is a bit *****ey

I don't watch much two and a half men, but when i see it Jon Cryer is the one who makes me laugh the most..

him or the kid when he was still a chubby kid with silly one liners

It also was a matter of the particular joke he told that this gif shows the reaction to didn't make sense as his description of Django neither fit what the hell Django is actually about or the humorous description of Rhianna and Chris Brown's relationship history which he was reaching for. It kind of failed on both fronts regardless of how tasteful it was.

And they distanced themselves from Brett Ratner after he publically ripped on on homosexuals and made some pretty horrible comments about his actress ex-girlfriends. You know, essentially being Brett Ratner.
