"The Good Guys" Movie

Does anyone remember the Defiant comic "The Good Guys?"
Its the story of a group of comic book fans who each wish they had powers like their favorite comic book characters. When suddenly a magic box at the comic book store gives them the powers they wanted. There is a strong girl, an invisible kid, a magic boy, a flying kid, a Colossus guy, and two wolverine types. But There are bad kids there who also get powers too. Like a rich kid who gets super intelligence and uses his money and mind for evil. Or the bullies who tried to steal the magic box at the comic book store. The heroes find out having powers isn't all fun and games but I am sure they triumph in the end.
I think this would make an excellent family friendly comic book movie, it could be a movie like Sky High or Zoom's Academy. It's subject and characters, and especially their costumes, are just generic (or maybe I mean vague) enough to be one of those types of superhero films. And like Sky High, or one of those films, they could cast up and coming teen stars and preteen stars.
I think it could be really good.
