Okay I'm making this thread to express my opinions about X3, this is what I thought they did right, what I thought they did wrong, and what they should have done. I dont know if there is a thread like this already, I didn't check. If I jump around in the scenes of the film I'm sorry.

The Good
1. I liked the idea of Rouge losing her powers at the end of the movie. It showed the end of the relationship she could of had with Bobby because it might of been what she wanted, but not what Bobby wanted. Her losing her powers could mutate the serum so the next mutant she touches she could get the permanent flight and super strength. Her losing her powers could make her end up leaving the X-mansion and going back home. She could think she was normal and if the movie is timed right could end up in New Orleans to celebrate martigraw with her friends. This could tie Gambit into the fourth film, if a fourth film is on the way. Rouge losing her powers could start a developing relationship with her and Mystique if they retell that story arc.
2. Most people are angry about Professor Xavior dieing, but this could be a blessing and a curse. Think about your xistory, each X-Man has died atleast once. Wolverine, Jean, both have died several times to name a few. Professor X dieing could get a few of the psychics involved in getting him back from the astral plane. Those of you will know about the Astral plane from past X-Men comics, and from the game X-men Legends. Having the likes of Emma, Psylocke(even though she was killed), and a reborn Jean diving into the astral plane to bring back Professor X would work for me.
3. Like Professor X dieing, Scott Summers movie situation is the same way. What we didn't see is if he really died. If everyone remembers Bishop then you will know that Bishop can go back and foreward in time. Bishop saved Scott before he was killed and brought him back to the X-men. This could also be a huge easter egg for Apocalyps. In the fourth film Bishop could show up at the X-Mansion and then prove that he is telling the truth about the up in coming age of apocalyps by bring Cyclops back. But we also have to remember that we still never saw Cyclops die. Jean could of just sent him somwhere, same with Professor X. After the credits Professor X talked to Dr. Moira either trying to tell her where he is or just comunicating from the dead.
4. The scene with Jamie Madrox did give me a few laughs. I did want a bigger scene with MultipleMan, but I had to settle with what I got with him and I wasn't disapointed.
5. Jean dieing at the end of the movie was a staple in the era of the Pheonix. The myth of the pheonix is that it never dies and is just reborn into another stage of its life. Jean died once, then came back, and now will be reborn once again with her good side being triumphant.
The Bad
1. Okay Angel was a disapointment in this film to the extreme. I wanted so much more from our winged friend it wasn't funny. I expected so much out of Angel, but I was denied. He should of had more lines then "no I cant do this," it sounded like he was resisting molestation from his father, it was pathetic.
2. The relationship between Professor X and Juggernaut should of been atleast mentioned. There was no que from Magneto or X that Cain Marco and Xavior that they were related.
3. Juggernaut being a mutant was stupid. This movie was what a good 2 hours long and they couldn't spend what five maybe six minutes explaining how he got his powers, even if it was comic relief I would of been happy.
4. Collosus should of atleast had a Russian accent.
I know that more of this movie pissed me off but I will post more later.
What should of Happened
1. Angel Should of gotten more time onscreen then he did. He should of told the XMen right before they left in the jet that his father was on the island of Alcatraz and he was going to go with them. This could of left open a scene where Angel got his wings burned off by Pyro. To ensure that Apocalyps was coming in the fourth film everyone knows that Angel is on of the four horsemen of the apocalyps. Cuttout the scene in the begining where angel was cutting off his wings and then at the end of the movie farther off the credits we could see a scene where Apocalypse gives angel his new wings.
2. It would of taken a mere change of lines said by Ian, Jones and Stewart to talk about the relationship between X and Marco. It would of been true to the fans and would of gave The Juggernaut more prestige then he had. When Magneto and Pyro found Juggernaut, right when Pyro said "Cain Marco" Magneto could of said no need to read on I know all about this one. He could of ripped the door off and said " Mr. Marco, been a long time hasn't it", then Juggernaut could of said somthing comical or serious or a mix of both. Then the fans would understand a little more about Juggernaut's history, even just a little piece. Then when the X-men and the broutherhood arrive at Jean's house as Xavior rolls past Juggernaut, Marco could of stood in X's way and said hold on I got a few bones to pick with you Charles. Then Xavior could of said a few things then Magneto could of told Juggernaut to step aside and let the man pass. This would of been better then the man for hire Juggernaut that everyone never liked.
3. The least they could of done is make Juggernaut not a mutant. If we all know our xistory Cain Marco got his powers from the Crystal of Cyratok while in the Military with his step brother Charles. The cave fell down on Cain and he then dug his way out, that took years to accomplish. It could of been explained in a flashback only what 15 minutes long. Then the scene when he hit his head could of been replaced with Kitty trying to tackle Juggernaut and then coming out of his back holding a crystal, Juggernaut then turns to the boy and he kicks him in the balls. Juggernaut falls down and then is left in the room or he could of just kept running and then hit his head on the wall. Comic relief and staying true.
4. Just one scene of Collosus saying "Myn throwing arm is just fine comrade" would of solved this problem real fast.

This is only my opinion, but I think I run a fair game and all of my demands could of spaned in the time frame they had. What do you think.

You have it all wrong. Any X-Men Team Movie will always be all about

WOLVERINE

At least while the rights are with FOX

Then make a few Wolverine spinoffs and then call it quits. Damn, Wolverine isn't their only a list character. I thought all the scenes done with Wolverine were good and if you want to get technical this movie was about the Pheonix rising. This movie should of been called X-Men 3:Pheonix Rising or
X-Men 3:Rising of the Pheonix. This wans't a Last Stand. If anything this was just a battle with a hole hell of a lot of blood shed, or disintegration wich ever you prefer.

We need atleast one or two more movies with regular Angel before he turns into a Horseman.

I could care less if FOX disagrees with me. Its the truth. If Wolverine is their only a list Char then why did they kill off or make disapear Sabretooth in the first film instead of climaxing on a good feud for future scenes instead of a seduction scene between Mystique and Logan in the second film. I would of loved to see a conversation between Sabretooth and Logan about Stryker and Sabs not giving Logan any information.

But then that would take more Screen Time away from FOXs Precious Wolverine

Angel walking in Mansion Hallway

Colossus -"Sup dude where you going"
Angel - "Bathroom"
Colossus - "K Dude see ya"

Angel starts to walk away & then starts to act weird & Colossus notices & ask

Colossus - "You okay dude"

& then Angel lets out alot "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrs"

While starting to transform into something

Colossus runs away

Angel Flys away making a hole into a roof & thats the last we see of Angel until the Final Show down with X-Men VS Arch Angel in X4 & Colossus wont even be at the Final Battle this time

The way the x-films are going right now if we wait that long the franchise would be dead. They could of pulled it off right here and they failed. The only hope to revive this is if the next film gets more done story wise then this one did.

Oh please...You guys want more than a good story. You guys just want comic continuity and faithfulness...Just because things are changed in a story through the translation process, that doesn't mean it's a negative thing. It's been 6 years and people still aren't recognizing this.. :(

Why is all the blame going to FOX? Marvel has almost just as much say in the matter..

So that's why even though the pivotal character in X3 is Jean / Phoenix, Wolverine and Storm get in the front row of the group shots?

There should have been more Colossus hiding behind cars screaming, "I CAN HELP YOU!" and "YEAH, SHE TOOK OFF!"

It was a stroke of brilliance to have the worlds strongest and most durable mutant running and ducking from flying cars and lasers.

It'd have been a nice to see phoenix disabled wolverine's healing power like she disabled scott's involuntary eye blasts. then wolverclops would die and I'd smile.

damn... sheer genius. maybe he didn't want to ruin his pretty face?

This is why I cried when watching X2 last night. Because it was everything that X3 is not! The film and its chars actually work damnit!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! that's the funniest thing I saw all day! Don't forget to off Colossus in a manner that pays homage to X3. Like first 10 minutes of the film his powers and hiss entire lifeforce is leeched to death by Rogue and for no reason

Professor X never died. If you stayed until the end of the credit roll, this would have been made very clear for you. The only things that sucked was not acknowleding Juggernaut being related to Professor X, and the fact that they kill off Cyclops, which has no bearing to the original story. Though for that matter, Cyclops did die in the astral plane, during the dark phoenix saga, when he lost a sword duel against Mastermind. Though, killing off the physical Cyclops, is a long cry from that. I can agree that the movie needed far more work (including a Colossus that actually does something aside from one half assed Fast Ball Special), but it was far from being the disaster that many of my friends had led me to believe. I stll have faith that it will be a better movie than Superman Returns. I guess this is the summer where nobody gets it right, because I don't agree with a still bald Lex Luthor or a pregnant Lois Lane. But whatever....

A bald lex is right. the lois and son thing is new, I think. You might be right about not getting it right as far as story goes, Returns is taking a huge deviation from the source that could change the comics history forever if it goes that way too. wink wink. Hopefully Marsden can stay alive until the end this time though.

Agreed, my friend.
I too wept openly... and on the shoulder of the man next to me.... whom I had never met before.

I really have to disagree about Rogue losing her power... you said some ccool stuff like the Mystique thing.. I liked that... But it wasn't nesecary she lost her powers... And I really do hope Rogue will stay with Iceman... they are a great couple together... I love them together.... Perfect couple... just as Jean and Cyclops.... :D

Juggernaut not being a mutant would have been a very stupid move for the movie. The audience wouldn't have bought talk of magical gems. It doesn't fit in with the mood of the franchise.

Juggernaut being a mutant was a very sensible choice, and one I'm glad was made.

This thread is a matter of opinion and like a review, so can't in go into the review thread or something.

I did stay until the end of the credits and I was writing this while I was fighting sleep so I forgot to add the bit about how Jean could of just sent Professor X to Genosha. In my post I never said X-Men 3 was a bad movie. I thought it was a collossal movie. I would eagerly go to the theatre to see it again. All I said was that with this movie and any movie that there is always room for improvement. I just stated my opinion on how easy it would of been for the writer of the film to add in small details that would of made the film better, and would of opened the book for more people to be in x4. My opinion, nothing more.
