For the youngsters, was a classic book from 1979 about a foul mouthed little girl constantly getting bounced from foster home to foster home and her attempt to locate her birth mother. Kind of a comedy drama thing, but pretty deep. Danny Glover and Cathy Bates have been cast so far.

I remember reading this a few times as a kid. Good book...very weird, but good.
