How on earth is "All Eyes On Me" with Clipse and Keri Hilson not a huge hit?

Good lord, that track is an absolute club crusher.

I just shockingly heard two good songs in a row in the car earlier. Lil Wayne and Eminem's newest one, and Lupe Fiasco's newest one. Both had lyrics and hooks that were original as hell. They both appealed to me because they were pretty dark in tone. I admit I enjoy hip hop that's somewhat on the dark side.

I like dark stuff as well. Lupes new one has a kind of night time vibe. I like the synths sound in hip hop lately as well.

The best hip hop beats i've heard in years are from an indie band called These New Puritans. Some producer should sample there stuff.

Clipse latest album was a bit disappointing for me.

three sides to a story - joe budden.
dance with the devil - immortal technique

I had never heard 2Pac's "Dear Mama" until a few weeks ago when I got it on my iPod.

It might be one of the best songs I've ever heard. After listening to that, and then listening to Gucci Mane or Lil Wayne, it just puts things in perspective. The only new Rapper I can listen to more than once a week is Kid Cudi, and he's barely a rapper. Drake is okay I guess, but I hear all three of his songs 17 times a day. :down

Anything Jedi Mind Tricks. Those guys are some of the darkest rappers I have listened too. I can't listen to them all the time though.

Yeah, that Clipse album was weak.

On the other hand, I finally got around to picking up Jadakiss' The Last Kiss, which is awesome.

Just finished listening to Raekwon's, only built for cuban linx album. I forgot just how superior that album was and still is.
