Now we all know that Batman has Robin and even though Mr. J has Harley in the animated series she is not a major roll. I guess you could say she is his sidekick and I won't argue but I think I have an idea. I was thinking about a very messed up 18 year old who the Joker takes hostage and threatens to kill if Batman does not turn himself in (I know it sounds like TDK and if someone can think of a better origin please reply) While smeared in makeup that mimics the Jokers the boy explains how he has been expelled from 7 different schools and imprisoned 3 times. The boy explains how much he hates the Batman and soon the Joker sees a younger version of himself inside the boy and asks the boy to join him in killing Batman. They fake the boys death the Joker whips up a clown mask for the boy (makeup or mask could be redone but the mask is just for now) and the two of them begin to bring Anarchy to Gotham. I have not thought of a name for the character all I have is Psycho and Clown (pathetic huh?) maybe altered like Syko or Klown. All I'm asking is does anybody like this idea? I kinda do.

Please comment!!!!!

Could be, that the Joker is taken to Arkham asylum, were he meets a young man that is soon to get out. He's very clean, and you can tell he's on his way to rehabilitation. At one point in time, the Joker sets down with the young man at lunch and begins to install the idea that he could take on the persona of the Joker, and "carry on the legacy". After many months, the young man becomes obsessed with the Joker and his world, its all he can think about. *montage of super imposed images of Heath's Joker setting at the interogation table in TDK, but now he's setting across from a young man in Arkham asylum.*

After sometime, the young man is relised, and as promised, takes on the roll the Joker. He just can't seem to catch a break when it comes to his crimes, but he has a real Joker vibe to him, his appears dirty and scrufy, giving him the apprearence of someone gone off the deep end. Many months later, little by little, he carves himself the old familiar Joker smile, but only on one side of his face. He begins to put clown make-up on in a cracked mirror. (With a very smeary quick motion) The surroundings are grim and dirty, and it appears he's in some sort of large run down facility's bathroom. There's blood, old and new on the floor.

The character's run however is breif, because just a few days after his "complete transformation", he plots to break the Joker out of Arkham, although his first attempts at being a "better class of criminal", over the many months of being on the street, and learning from his mistakes, he springs the Joker from Arkham. So many months ago the Joker had instructed the young man to bring him back to the large facility when he had broken him out of Arkham.

As the two enter the building, which is run down, some places are missing areas of the roof, and the walls are crumbling to bits. The veiwer can see "my father" carved in a "Jokerized" fashion on the wall, as the camera pans to the left following the two men. The young man opens a large door and enters another part of the structure. The young man walks into the large room, facing away from the Joker. As he does, the Joker keeps walking towards him.

Suddenly the Joker fingers a shelf near by, pulling a knife from it, he keeps walking towards the young man, coming from behind him, he stickes the blade to the side of his face missing the scar.

"You know, I had high hopes for you-you pulled through in the end, but, its-aah-time to, finish, what you started."

The Joker pulls the knife quickly, and the boy drops to the floor, blood evrywhere. The camera pans away from the two, and "a wife" is seen smeared onto the wall.

or something like that, LOL.

I'm not too keen on the "Father" and "Wife" on the walls but everything else sounds pretty cool.

Thanks, I was just spitballing the idea, and that just sorta came to me, LOL. I've had the idea for a while but never wrote anything about it. I was trying to get out of the door, so I'm sorry for the grammer errors as well, LOL.

I actually like the idea of a protege. Especially the part about Joker finishing the cuts on his mouth to complete the transformation. It reminds me of the Robin-Joker episode in Batman Beyond.

Hmmm.... I think you should run with this idea. It has alot of potential for furthering the Joker's existance beyond his natural lifespan. IMO, it gives the impression that by the time it would get to Beyond, it would explain why Joker has so many more personalities.

Or maybe not on that last part. I don't know, but it is very interesting nonetheless.

I really love your idea Jodo. I am a thinking a lot about this character. I also think it shouldn't end there. I think the boy should live through the scarring and seeing that he is a psycho laughs uncontrollably and unlike any other sane person or normal psycho instead of seeing how horrible the Joker really is, he becomes obsessed with the Joker and wants to impress him. Weeks after being treated by the asylum nurses he slaughters his medics, laughing while he does it. He escapes and trying to impress Mr. J goes after and tries to kill Batman. He is intercepted by Robin and the foolish side-kick makes fun of the young man which makes the man laugh and start to beat Robin. Batman saves his friend and hands the clown into Gordon. The Joker is pleased by the boy's valiant efforts and the fact that Robin won't be able to fight crime for a while now and he frees the boy from Gordon's cell and slaughters all of Gordon's men. The boy soon becomes attached and obsessed with the Joker and follows along side him in his plan to kill Batman and destroy Gotham city.
I don't know I kinda like it but if you don't it makes sense, I guess I just don't want the character I make to be killed off so easy. Your thoughts Jodo? I hope you like it!

The father part I liked. I think it explains how the young man is obsessed with the Joker and thinks of him as a father figure. Not sure if thats what Jodo meant but if it is I really like the idea.

I still can't get over how amazing Jodo's idea is. He took my crap and made it freakin' gold. I just think if this guy made it to the comics I would appreciate it a bit more if he wasn't killed off so easy :P

LOL, glad you liked it. I love writing up fan-fics, and fan-film scripts, or just any little 3-4 paragraph bios, etc. Its one of my hobbies that I like doing when the time presents itself.

That certain idea has been going around in my head ever sence I started my Joker costume, it was just something that I thought could work at one point in time. Enspcialy considering the fact that Heath can't play the role again, and by using just certain shots, in a montage like sequence, I think it could be pulled off faily well for a fan-film.

I to deffintly wouldn't want the Young man (which could remain nameless, mabey he also suffers from memory loss, which could even be a side effect of a certain scarecrow complex, etc.) to die. I'd deffintly expect him to live through it. I think a shot of the Joker standing near him, or walking off from him as he withers in pain would proboly be a great shot to end on. Or mabey the Joker ripping a Joker card in half and only throwing one half on him......Ooo.....I'm crazy...and I like it.

EDIT - If he suffered from memory loss, mabey after the Joker finishes his scars he could wake-up back in Arkham, and slowly figure out what happened. Then after he does, mabey he breaks himself out to take revenge on the Joker many months later. Only to come realy close to tracking down the joker to kill him, he falls short and is sent back to Arkham.

You never cease to amaze me. :D
But the one thing I liked about my story was that the boy still LIKED the Joker and wanted to impress him even after what he did. It adds a creepy vibe to the character. Also I was thinking about it at the beach what if instead of the Joker completing the smile on the boys face he craved a frown on the other side, signifying that the transformation was never completed and that the boy had failed him. IDK just so it doesent copy the joker too much.

What ya think?

Excellent idea about the frown, sorta has a two face vibe to it, but I like it.

Jodo, it is time. I wait feverishly for some more input on this idea. I know the wheels are turning...just let it free.... :)

yeah, we already saw what happens to someone who thinks they can be the joker's sidekick. johnny frost....

the joker doesnt need a sidekick, bad idea. thats what makes the character so awesome. sorry my opinion

i was fully expecting this thread to be a bag full of fail. the joker rolls alone, thats what makes him such a powerful character in my opinion. he is alone, and desperately trying to make the world the same as him.
which i guess when you take that idea and run with it, could mean that he wouldnt mind having someone around the same as him. but would his ego allow another person to share his spotlight?

jodo's idea is frickin' gold though.
