After the Black Dossier, the final volume of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen will be released.

News and Preview

I've gonna have some fun guessing what sources he'll use for this.

I can't be the only one who's interested in this, right?

Quite the contrary, I'm glad you posted this link. I'm enthusiastic now that we know where Moore's next volume is heading. I'm glad Orlando is joining the group. He/She is a much better immortal than that wretch from the movie.

I wonder if Moore will make a nod to "The Prisoner" tv series?

I'm excited as well, just didn't feel like responding.

I'm I'm reading the description of the third volume correctly, I think he's going to use Hitchhiker's guide and The West Wing in the last chapter

Happiness :woot:

If Mina Murray, Ford Prefect, and president Bartlet team up to stop the anti-christ, I will form a church devoted to Alan Moore.

Just thought of something. Alan Moore said that the last volume will have tons of mainstream pop culture cameos.

What if Orlando was killed by the bad guy from Highlander? And what if someone sent the Vampire Slayer to assassinate Mina?

Wishful thinking on my part.

Well, I definately think he'll at least be able to get direct rights to use:

The View Askew-verse

Evil Dead

Joss Whedon's characters

Judge Dredd

Star Wars

Transformers

The Simpsons

He might be able to pull off direct cameos from:

South Park

Dr. Who

X-Files

Godzilla

Men in Black

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

James Bond

Star Trek

Lost

He'll probably simply alude to:

The West Wing

Power Rangers (now that'd be ****ing funny)

Pokemon

Most Disney films

Well, as much as I'd love to see all of these, I don't know how he can even use half of them. From what I gathered most of the action in the third chapter of Vol. 3 is going to be in London and the Middle East. I don't know how he could work the Colorado based South Park characters into it. \

And how could he do Star Wars? They're in an entirely different galaxy, and by 2008 most of the characters are probably dead (it being "a long time ago" and all that).

Well, I'm guessing that he'll be doing alot of cameos and nods like he did in the first two volumes with the League's trophy room/museum. Alot of the things I listed would probably apear in that fasion. And again, I was going by what he would be able to do and would probably want to do (some of the TV stuff stemming from an interveiw he gave about his favorite American TV, and some of it stemming from wether or not the creators are comic book geeks). If we do have Star Wars, we'd probably have Darth Vader's helmet on display. Stuff like that.

I just had another all-too-hopeful idea.

The second chapter takes place in 1968, right? Isn't that when Night of the Living Dead premiered? What if this Moonchild thing, when born, caused zombie outbreaks. And if the third chapter happens today in North London, would that mean a zombie outbreak in Northern London could occur there? Do you think Simon Pegg would let Moore use his image for that storyline?

Simon Pegg would beg Alan Moore to use his image for that storyline. Have you ever seen his TV show Spaced? He's one of the biggest comic book geeks on the planet.

I haven't seen the show.

I REALLY need to though.
