Drama The Life of Chuck - Mike Flanagan Adapts King Again

After Longlegs, we know the marketing is going to be top notch.

Me, too! :D This sounds awesome!

AHHHHHHH I need it so bad.

Loved the trailer highlighting King as the author behind The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me. Gotta let the audience know which brand of King they’re in for.

Yeah, just from the opening few seconds, it was already giving me The Green Mile/Shawshank Redemption vibes. Grounded with that slight hint of mysterious, supernatural awe and wonder of the former, and the passing of time within the narrative of the latter.

Got a trailer for this when I saw Bring Her Back. Looks good, though I really wish it wasn't coming out the same weekend as The Phoenician Scheme because there's no way that I'm going to see both.

If this was made in the 90s starring Tom Hanks it would be a 100M+ hit.

I like Tom Hiddleston, but for how good this is, they really needed a bigger name to sell it in that Frank Capra/Jimmy Stewart way. I fear it’s going to get lost without it.

Finally caught this. Unfortunately neither of my usual theaters were showing it, but it was well worth the trip.

I’m sure the Academy is bound to disappoint me, but I’d love to see this get some award love.

You’re not wrong, but there aren’t really any more Tom Hanks’s anymore. Plus, I’m sure there would’ve been some backlash to that scenario given
how little adult Chuck actually factors into the film. Hanks-loving ‘90s audiences would’ve felt short-changed.
