World The Lizard's Lizard collection...

Or Hulk helping Rhino on his sand-castle long-distance. I swear, he must be five feet away from that castle.

I may have posted in this thread before, maybe not, but we have crossed paths on these here forums, Lizard.

I'll say it again - amazing collection, its a real testament to your dedication to a comic book world, let alone one particular villain.

A lot of the pieces in your collection, I am astounded at, the fact that you have several items that were very limited or pieces from the 1990's animated series.

Congrats and keep posting those pictures.

Cheers.

Hey Lizard,

Would you mind posting any cool stuff you have from the 90's cartoons of The Lizard? I'm a big fan of the show and you look to have some pre-production stuff of him and others that I've never seen before.

This request slipped my mind - sorry about that.

Heres a couple pics of the script and writer's "bible" from the SM Animated series:

Here's a pic of some original product art done for the SM Animated Toy Biz series. The artwork was done on a sheet of DC Comics comic art paper - pretty funny. :D

Whoah! How the hell did you get hold of those, Lizard? Very cool.

Time to bump the good old Lizard collection thread again. thanks to the upcoming pewter chess set from SOTA. I found this particular image from the banner ad interesting:
pewterchessBCvsLiz.jpg

I wonder if the creator of the ad was aware that Lizzy and Black Cat recently fought in the pages of the Sensational Spider-Man story titled "Feral".

I'm still quite annoyed with how the writer had BC beat up on the Lizard in that story BTW. Someone needs to pick up a copy of the Marvel Universe handbook and look at a few freakin' strength and speed ratings.

Anyway, I'm still hoping that some enterprising seller will be selling individual figures from the SOTA chess set, sinceI'm not leaning towards plunking down $500 just to get the Lizard.

I noticed as well. Might be just a coincidence though.

Preliminary sculpt for upcoming full-size Lizard statue from Bowen designs!

Well, with the Spider-Man 3 toys being released now, I guess I'll bump the old Lizard collectible thread and see if anyone's interested. Sorry about all the old dead links back there.

Here's the painted version of the full-body Bowen Lizard statue, coming in Sept:

lizardstatuebi4.jpg

It looks like they just used the mold from the Bowen Lizard bust for the top half, which is fine, but the prototype sculpt in the posts above looked like a whole new sculpt, unless I'm imagining things. I liked the look of the head on the prototype better to be honest. Also, I wonder why this isn't being released until September of this year - a pretty long wait for a statue that's only 1/2 new sculpting. That base is pretty cool though.

This weekend, the Hasbro "Spider-Man 3" figure series Lizard will be released:

-- Along with a Mega Bloks Spidey vs Lizard set. Up until now, there haven't been any Lego-style versions of Lizzy -- no Kubricks, no Mini-Mates, nothing. Kind of weird, but at least there will be a Mega Blok version now.

I just got the Hasbro Spider-man 3 Lizard yesterday

I haven't been able to catch that Toy Biz Spider-Man Webshooter commercial with the CGI villains myself. According to crowbb it was shown on Cartoon Network, so if anyone out there manages to get it recorded, let me know!

Here's a recent photo of the updated Lizard closet (left side only):

I must be very late because none of the pics show up. Bummer.

I take my previous post back, the more recent ones show up...and I must say...what a collection my friend.

Thanks, Cap.

I still plan on posting some updated pics before too long. I've got an original Lizard animation design cel from the 1967 Spidey cartoon coming soon, so I might post that.

FetchImageJPG.asp

On top of a comic box containing all the Lizard's comic appearances (and I do mean ALL of them-- from ASM #6- November 1963 to current, including flashback and cameo appearances!), we have some boardgames, Mego figures, the Art Asylum bust, and in front of the bust's box, a Toy Biz prototype figure.

FetchImageJPG.asp

Bottom two shelves with books, novels, trading cards and videos on the bottom, and various stuff on the second shelf including art kits, metal figures, cups, and target sets.

Top shelf with figures including model kits, Toy Biz, Mego, and various foreign bootleg figures.

Any questions? (And I mean besides "Did you know that you're a total dork?")
i can't see any of your lizard collection:csad:

Here's the ULTIMATE Lizard collectible (if it was for sale, that is)!!

lizardaction-l.jpg

that was a great ride! when my parents took me there in 2002 we went on the ride a few times every day! good times.:yay:

i live real close to universal and ive got a year pass there so ive been on that like a million times. its so fun

OK - as promised, here's a pic of the 1967 Lizard character design cel I recently got from a dealer out in Hollywood:

lizardcel67Medium.jpg

As you can see, the pose is based on the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #6, which was the only Lizard story in print when the episode was being animated.

Now I've got to find a cel from the 1981 cartoon Lizard episode...

that looks great! it sure does look pretty close to the pose on the cover now that you mention it.
