World The Lizard's Lizard collection...

The Lizard said:
Man-Lizard was indeed made up by Toy Biz, and has never appeared in comics. That figure was part of the "Archnophobia" toy series, where two Spidey characters were combined to make a "what if" type villain.
I guess Man-Lizard was supposed to be a cross between Lizard and Man-Spider, but the only remotely Lizardlike thing about the dumb toy was its green color and its tail (which had a spider-head on the end of it!).

I own the figure, but only because the word "Lizard" appears on the box. :p

Ah. Thanks for answering my question; it saves me the trouble of having to look through the hundreds of comics at my local store.

I WANT this!

A Marvel Legends Lizard figure is forthcoming.....

I'm somewhat happy at this news....

WOO-HOO!!!! :D:up:

Have you ever seen that old Spider-Man arcade game that had the Lizard in it? I believe it was called Spider-Man the Arcade Game and I think you could play as Spidey, Hawkeye, Black Cat, and oddly Namor. It never came out for any home system as far as I know but it had a cool scene where you ran across Curt Connors on a bridge and you said something like "It's Curt Connors!" and then he transformed into the Lizard and you said "No! The Lizard!" and had to fight him. I remember playing it 10-15 years ago.

Oh, yes - I remember it well. :)

This is it: http://www.klov.com/S/Spider-Man.html

I believe that there are certain emulator sites where you can download the game to play on your PC. Since the actual arcade cabinet the game came in has Lizard on the side, I'm going to have to get that at some point - I wonder where I'll put it?

Nice! I've always wanted to play that again.

Also, you probably already know this but the new commercials for Spider-Man Web Blaster (I think it's called anyway, may have the name a bit off) show a CG Lizard for a couple of seconds standing in a group of villains.

 Actually I did NOT know about that! Is there any certain channel and time that you've seen it on most often? I need to record that sucker!

I've been noticing it on Cartoon Network but have yet to manage to catch it on tape. I'm going to set up my dvd recorder one of these days and see if I can catch the thing.

I haven't been able to catch that Toy Biz Spider-Man Webshooter commercial with the CGI villains myself. According to crowbb it was shown on Cartoon Network, so if anyone out there manages to get it recorded, let me know!

Here's a recent photo of the updated Lizard closet (left side only):

Another thing I've been meaning to do is post my current want-list of Lizard-related items that I'm having a difficult time finding. Perhaps some fellow Spidey collector out there might have some of these items to sell or trade, or at least know where to find them, since even Ebay hasn't been able to help me so far with these collectibles.

So I now present :

Hey Lizard I have two of those things you want lol. I have the Spider-man rogues gallery calander and that comic book that you want but the comic isn't in mid condition anymore seeings how when I got it my brother sat on it by accident, dam him.

Hey Lizard when is that one lizard toy coming out the marvel legends one, thank you if you can answer my question if not oh well I'll be on the look out. I must say though I am very jealouse at all the sweet Lizard stuff you have, where I live in Michigan I can hardly find Lizard stuff but I do have some of the stuff you have but I don't keep my Lizard toys in the cases I tear them out and sadly play with them lol, just like the good old days...Seeings how I would never sell them I do what they were meant for and I hope you won't sell your collection to anyone because that is the most coolest thing in the universe that should not be taken for granted. Keep on collecting LIZZY

So you have the 1999 Rogue's Gallery Calendar? Is the Lizard in it?

Hey Lizard when is that one lizard toy coming out the marvel legends one

The new ML Lizard will be sold as part of a boxed villain set that will be released in August.

That is one awesome collection you have there... I think, out of all those figures, I've only seen about four of them - three of which I have. How many are there?

I've got some variations, prototypes, customs, and some foreign bootleg knockoffs, but if you're just counting legitimate licensed action figures, let's see...

Mego produced the one Lizard doll during the mid-to-late 1970s.

During the 1980's...nothing (not even a Mattel Secret Wars figure)!

Toy Biz made about seven different Lizard figures during the 1990s (all based on the '90s animated series version except for one McFarlane-style Lizard).

So far we've seen three new Toy Biz Lizards released since 2000 (one from the MTV animated series, one from the Ultimate comic series and the "Spidey & Friends" version Lizard), with the upcoming Marvel Legends version being the fourth.

Ah -- so that Rogue's Calendar has art from this issue:

Spec239.JPG

Well, if you ever want to sell that 1999 calendar and it's in good condition, PM me since I'd be interested in buying it or trading for it. :)

lol give me your whole collection lol for the calnder. As much as it pains me to say this I am very sorry I don't want to sell it because I am a very big Lizard fan and I love the art. Really sorry man, I want to try and have a collection just like yours because that would be the prize possession of life lol.

^ No problem -- I understand--- I wouldn't give up any of my Lizard stuff either (unless I was trading it for a Ditko ASM # 6 art page or somethinmg insane like that).

I'm just glad to find out that the calendar was actually printed. I'm sure it will turn up on Ebay eventually. :)
