I watched Gladiator II last month. It was kinda boring but his role stood out for me as I didn't expect him to be the villain there. I think he'd more fitting as Apocalypse than Magneto.

I'd vote Charles Dance for Magneto though they need to sort out the timeline issue with Magneto in some form if they plan to keep him around for multiple movies as a threat to the X-Men.

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I wouldn't mind if they killed off Magneto after one movie (so they can say they've "done Magneto") and focus on other villains instead. We've had Magneto in movies for over 20 years.

Jason Isaacs would make a great Magneto, but as he’ll soon be older than McKellen was at the time of the first film, I’m betting they go a bit younger.

I would love for Magneto to be a 1 and done. There are so many X-Men villains out there.

Yes, we've seen plenty of McKellen & Fassbender across the Fox films, but I want to see Magneto in this reboot. There's plenty of other villains, but Magneto's just too good to pass up.

If Sir Ian McKellen appears in Secret Wars.

I hope thats the last movie appearance of Magneto. I don't want to see a reboot for that character.

That's like advocating for Doom to only get 1 movie.

Magneto is Marvel's best character, period. Not just villain.

I was surpised but also happy that they announced the X Men cast and didn't keep it a secret. Hopefully they can go ask out in the promo and we get a group photo featuring Magneto, Lizzie (Scarlet Witch) and Evan Peter's Quicksilver. One of the things missing from No Way Home was official promotional photos featuring all three spider man.

I'm not really keen about having them as children of Ian McKellen. But I also don't particularly about their relationship in the comics.
