it was bound to happen sooner or later, i say SHH! should open a donation account on paypal or something similar, so that if people wanna b*tch about how slow it's going they can slap in a donation bucket. The idea was broached about two years or so ago. Mirko didn't like the idea then, because that's not what the site was about, and I highly doubt he likes it any more now.

I'm sort of getting the impression that Mirko's focus is more on the smooth operation of the actual SHH news site, and the forums are a secondary concern. I kind of understand that, since there are a lot more people who only come here to read the news instead of posting.

However, this is probably the best time in the last 3 years for adding new members to the forums. It's a shame if the new folks are put off by the lag and don't come back. Tough call, considering the solution equals $700 a month.
